Gordon on the left, Foden and Bellingham in the middle, as a pivot. They are both good enough to know when they should go or stay. Shaw as the left back, or Konsa if he’s not fit. Trippier is without help and he needs to check, and get on his right foot.

Southgate's tactics are to win, get a goal sit back and counter. Its ugly but it can be effective. Looking at the other teams Spain, Ger, Italy France we cant match them in an open game.

Harry is the example of Southgate’s weakness as a manager. Your striker dropping back is costing you but there is no fear of consequence. If Gareth tells him stay up top or I’m bringing Watkins on you would see a change. But Harry knows Gareth doesn’t have the balls so does as he wants

In my view, Harry Kane did not play well at all. I honestly don't know what he was doing there. In all truth, they should have been able to beat Slovenia by 3 goals to nil. Sad and disappointing. The usual lukewarm rubbish.
Woke Kane with a weak woke mentality
The England Manager is not a manager – proven beyond any doubt , long before this tournament – should have been replaced after the World Cup – personally i would have replaced him after the last Euro's, but hey-ho. Kane and the rest of the team should save their breath and play football. The world is full of people with opinions, and that includes professional critics. Get over it – attention comes with any high profile job. Let me tell you though, if i performed like this manager and his team in my work, i wouldn't have that job after, the equivalent of one, tournament. Southgate won't/ can't change. The team need to play, and shut-up whinging. God knows a miracle may happen and Southgate may be struck down with a temporary condition that renders him bed ridden and unable to communicate for a couple of weeks because as long as he has any influence on the team, the road leads further downhill.
Well said, Simon. Hear bloody hear! Pundits must say what they see. They are not the team's managers, coaches, psychologists, etc.. Let the people around the team build confidence and maintain morale. A pundits job is to assess and discuss performances and they are not, and must never be, beholden to any cause or ulterior motive. TBH hearing Shearer, Richards, Lineker and others being so honest rather than spouting the usual platitudes and "must not upset my mates" chit chat was a complete revelation and the way it should be.
His goals have equalled absolutely no success everywhere hes been – he plays too slowly and granted is a great finisher but this teams needs pace for it to work properly and he cant offer us that, if we insist on playing him then at least have a watkins or Gordon to run in behind. This is dire stuff we are watching and the most novice of football fans can see it

Now Harry Kane, the free scoring Bayern Munich centre forward is not good enough either. These are qualifying games and England have qualified. Comfortably.
