Being that over-reliant on Shawโs fitness is all on the managerโs squad selection.
Shaw is done. His injury was so harsh that heโs lucky even able to walk again
Dan Burn was available. Heโs much better than Trippier and great for set pieces

Its unbelievable England cannot produce a decent left footed left back. Southgate should have at least tried the last few years other left backs like Mitchell or Burns or even tell Saka to sacrifice a little to play LB. He had so much time to test out. Tripper cannot play LB. Cuts in everytime he gets the ball and passes back. Rarely goes forward and you can tell other players don't particular want to pass to him during games in the Euros knowing he is not effective.

taken too many off the wrong players and not enough where needed, has so many strikers that won't even play anything so could easily lose one of them, dunk, konsa, gomez could of also easily been changed for someone like burn who can play LB or CB or give Leif Davis a chance, best LB in championship.
