Rice and Kane and Saka got blamed what about the rest of the Team.
Souness said the same thing when we signed Rice last season, I alwasy think if he rally play the game
If rice played for france. He would be an average midfielder. There are many, many, many, many other midfielders in world football one would have in front of him.

Finally someone questioning Rice place in the team, Wharton should be playing in “the 6” role as he’s the only player we have who can take the ball on the turn and start attacks with calm, forward passes, then it’s between Bellingham, Foden and Rice to fight it out for the other two midfield spots
We're in a mess at the moment, but we've got four points so it really isn't as catastrophic as reading some comments might have you think! That first half against Serbia tells us that these players have a higher ceiling than what we've been seeing so far.
I want to believe that we're just doing the bare minimum to eek through the group stages while juggling fitness issues, to then improve as the stakes increase. I want to believe that, and subbing Kane for Watkins was encouraging, but doing so after taking Trent off seemed strange considering Watkins makes the runs that Trent is best equipped to feed.
There's obviously a lot of question marks over several areas of the team, but hopefully those are reflective of managing fitness for the latter stages and making a few tweaks will give us a platform to kick on from 🤞

If Declan Rice was French , both Kante (obviously) but also Tchoameni would get in ahead of him, yet nobody is singing Tchouameni’s praises every week about how “world class” he is. I think England will be ok, many teams get to the final with sketchy group game performances (Argentina in 2022, Portugal 2016)

Dropping Rice when he is our best Defensive Midfielder is insane. Rice was awful but the whole team was apart from CBs. For Arsenal he got similar stats to Rodri with big chances created, goals and assists. Im not saying he is better than Rodri by the way before people lose their mind lol But to say he cant do it is incorrect. Definitely needs to do more for England but Southgate wants him there to protect.
Ive heard so much about great young players, I've seen them but unfortunately their playing for Spain, there's no point saying I wish they were English because Southgate wouldn't have put them in the team anyhow, Ive always said southgate was the weak link in the England team and I'll stick to it, can anybody tell me how many decent teams we have beaten while southgate been in charge, he can do anything he wants now because he's gone now he's finished.

Southgate is a good coach. He try to play defensive football to protect the reputation of england. If he play offensive football,that england team will be whitewash by any team. All english players are so poor in ball control they can't keep the ball well.
