We were absolutely wasting our time going for Olise. We didn't stand a chance. We are not there yet. We can't attract that level of established player at the moment.
Right now, the only way we can do it is to identify that level of player while they are very young and before they attract attention. We did that with Isak.
Any player with a regular injury occurance shouldn't even be considered for me. We are not a rehab centre, we want a positive season.
Always loved Neto as a player, obvious concern is his injury record though. I def would not be unhappy if we do end up signinh him. Gordon Isak Neto would be an elite front 3

I think we will end with very few signings. It looks like we are having trouble attracting people to join. Maybe it's wages, maybe it's the fact we aren't able to grow as fast as we want because of ffp. I'm worried we are struggling with our main targets we will end up with 3rd of 4th options on the list. Pedro Neto is pure quality but no secret his injury record. Mbuemo may not be the fancy name people want but he is exactly what we need. Goals, assists, work rate and will play more than Neto. Mbuemo would fit an Eddie Howe Newcastle side like a glove.
Newcastle are not broken, but Newcastle does need Reform. We are going to get some great footballers in by the end of this window.

Mbuemo seems like a decent shout. He doesn't seem to be a big enough name to have Chelsea trying to buy him yet 😅. His stats are better than Almiron's, and he's more versatile too.

I have followed Neto for the last four years. From what I have seen, he has worked too hard for Wolves, hence the injuries. Slow him down, and he will potentially become a world-class player. Would love to see him at Newcastle. Sadly, I think Arsenal will win him over. If he did come, what you have to remember is Howe and Co Are and have proven to be phenomenal coaches.
