Yesh, why do you need grealish??? Gordon and eze are more direct and won't delay attack. It is clear southgate will go fas counters if necessary especially with rashford at home who he had used before. Grealish just slows things down.
The biggest omission for me is Solanke. Solanke is Levels above Ollie Watkins due to his physicality and pace and would be far more of a threat than the lightweight Watkins who can never impose himself in international games because of this and thus looks out of his depth. Watkins is like Kevin Phillips. A proven goalscorer in the PL but completely out of his depth at International level. Solanke is also far more inform and match-fit than Toney. Solanke should have gone over those two in my opinion.

Grealish is a quality footballer and should be in the squad as should Maddison. And im a Manchester United fan saying this.
Assuming the different thing Robbie is talking about when it comes to Jack grealish and the other lads is goal involvements this past season.. whereby Jack has very few and all the other lads have a bucket full each 😂🤡
The manager and staff are boring as hell, as are most the players, at least Jack had some Character about him, shame he’s not going. I won’t watch any of the group games, way too boring for me.
As an Italian I’ll say this, England have the horses neccessary to win but will they execute when it matters. Personally, I think this one of your better teams and anything less than reaching the semi-finals or finals would be a let down.
