Great video! Gotze really was an amazing player. It's always sad to see players with that kind of skill and love for the game, be pushed out due to medial issues that are beyond their control. Without having to deal with his medical problems, I genuinely think he would have been a Balon d'Or finalist in several of the previous 5-7 years. Absolutely immense talent, undermined by unfortunate circumstances.

I thinl that these hormonal issues have been linked to ending or ruining or limiting the careers of many great footballers. It's not only Gotze, R9 also had a similar issue with hypothyroidism

Götze already had health problems before the World Cup.
At the WC 2014 he wasn’t even a starter anymore compare that with the 18/19 year old Götze that was a absolute beast and way better as the later version of him which scored the WC winner.
It wasn’t one moment that ruined his career it was bad health management that ruined his career.

I still believe that Götze would have become very successful again with Klopp's help, because his dribbling skills and talent for quick surprise actions and passes still make him one of the potentially best performers very similar to Messi… (assuming he is in top form regarding his mental and physical health, and Klopp would be able to help him to attain this level again, of course)

I don’t think this championship was a stain in Messi’s career. Germany on paper was clearly the better side. Argentina played out of their minds in that game and actually had better quality chances but the best team won.

Guardiola hat ihn kategorisch abgelehnt, weil er wusste, dass Götze im Duell Deutschland – Spanien zu dieser Zeit den Unterschied machen würde. Wenn ein Spieler lange nicht spielt, fehlt ihm der Rythmus, die physische und psychische Konstitution, die man nur im Spiel unter absoluten Wettkampfbedingungen erlangt.
