UEFA EURO 2024 *MATCHDAY 2* PREDICTION

hello ladies and gentlemen today I will give you my match day 2 predictions for Euro 2024 with match day one already complete but how many did I get right in match day one without counting scores just going for win draw or loss I got eight out of 12 correct definitely could have been better of course there were some upsets but I’m guessing most people got 10 out of 12 correct or something like that me being hopeful for Croatia obviously didn’t do me any favors but regardless of my team disappointing me it has been an eventful first match day let’s see how the standings look right now for each of the groups group has Germany first with a massive goal difference Switzerland in second Hungary third Scotland fourth group b Spain take first after destroying Croatia Italy second Albania third Croatia last place Group C has England in first Denmark and Slovenia in second and third as they drew against each other and Serbia in fourth group D the favorites of the group each got narrow wins so they have first and second Poland in third Austria fourth group B has to be the biggest of surprises I know some of you were hopeful for these teams but no way did you think Romania and Slovakia could ever be at the top together at first and second Belgium third Ukraine fourth rev turkey take the top Portugal second Czech Republic third and Georgia fourth place let me know in the comments how your wear two different k kits anyway let’s get into it starting off with Croatia versus Albania now I know my last prediction for Croatia was horrendous look at the time it looked reasonable of course I’m going to be slam more than others for banking on Croatia because yeah people are going to claim that I’m biased but shout out to Spain by far the better team but Croatia were really poor very slow football defense looked lost and clumsy at times especially that opening goal for Morata absolutely let him byy for that through Pass and although Croatia had a few chances throughout the match Spain overall controlled the game getting hammered 3-0 it could have been 3-1 if petkovich converted that penalty or even then not taking so long to take that shot instead of tripping over himself Croatia just looked hesitant throughout the match but this could be a massive wakeup call for Croatia 3-0 is definitely not an ideal score line already as now they are going to be heavily trailing for that goal difference in this group if it is neck and neck for second and third place so obviously this is a massive match for them to redeem themselves because Albania are the heaviest of underdogs in this group but they cannot underestimate Albania whatsoever I think if Croatia played the way they do against Spain Albania can take advantage because they actually had a very impressive display against Italy they just set the record of scoring the quickest goal in Euro history in 23 seconds we saw bami strike one in after DeMarcos mess up of a throw in and although Italy responded quickly got a very quick comeback were able to score two goals very early on in that first half Albanian kept it really tight and still had some opportunities throughout the match they look hungry out there and we’ve also seen there are loads of albanians in Germany of course the Croatian fan base will be strong as well but this matchup will be heated it’s a massive opportunity for both these sides to grab three points I think Albania will go into this match with some confidence since they did put off a good fight against Italy and Croatia simply look poor against Spain but Croatia do know how to respond back after they do fall down short 3-0 is definitely a hefty loss and I am quite worried for the national team I’ll be honest but I think zlako doic has what it takes to tactically sort out the team to be able to get three points against Albania he’ll definitely have to sort out that front three I think and also maybe potentially put cavar theol back at the center back roll because shuto and pachic were leaving way too much space but I’m going to say Croatia come back strong here with the 31 score line for them I think it’s going to be actually a similar match to how it was for Albania vers Italy Albania get the first goal cardak Croatian strike again but then the comeback happens maybe we’ll see one goal in the first half from C CA and then the other two in the second half the more I predict the more I’m probably going to get wrong obviously but I’m going to stick with that 3-1 score line overall which would still leave Croatia on their toes for that final match day but definitely a plus after that demolition against Spain let’s move on to group a now I’m going in order of when each of the matches will be played Germany versus Hungary many people are claiming that Hungary would be the Darkhorse of this tournament rightfully so prior to the recent friendlies before the Euros they were unbeaten since 2022 against Italy and the nation league but now they fell short in their Opening match of this Euro tournament against Switzerland very much not playing well a 3-1 defeat where Switzerland definitely made their stance that they look to be the favorites to make it out of this group potentially with Germany Switzerland scored an absolute Banger for their second goal but defensively I think the other two could have been handled much better and Germany we already saw how threatening they were in The Opening match against Scotland they scored five goals well technically six if you want to count rudiger an absolutely phenomenal display without a doubt and they have made a massive stance that they should be considered one of the favorites for this tournament and I’m sorry hungry but I think you guys really blew your chance against Switzerland I predicted a draw for that match very much did not pan out that way maybe they’ll be lucky to be one of the best third place teams to advance but already losing by two goals to Switzerland and with my prediction of 3-1 Germany as well I think it’s going to be difficult for them they really have to make a stance against Scotland for the final match day but yeah like I said my prediction for this match is 3-1 to Germany the chemistry on this team is just topnotch right now experienced players jelling all with the youngsters musal and verts absolutely shined against Scotland I think Hungary will put off a better fight than Scotland but still Germany just showing an absolute Master Class display let’s move on to the other match in this group though Scotland versus Switzerland like I said Scotland got absolutely hammered by Germany Switzerland got that Victory against Hungary twists and turns can happen here of course but Scotland were really unconvincing yes Germany definitely showed dominance in that match but I was actually quite disappointed in Scotland they really seemed to lack passion in that Opening match and like I mentioned in the previous video they have been in poor form the only side that they’ve defeated since September is jalter and of course they’re going to beat them coming up against an inform Switzerland who looked to be struggling in the Euro qualifiers but now have redeemed their form I think it’s going to be too tough for them yeah maybe that Opening match was a massive wakeup call for Scotland like it was for Croatia but I just can’t see it against Switzerland I think they have what it takes to defeat Scotland 2 nil moving on out to Slovenia versus Serbia technically this match has happened in history in the EUR champion ship 2000 Slovenia came up against Yugoslavia that match finished in a 33 Thriller and you know what I’m going to say it finishes in somewhat of a similar fashion to two this time hear me out both Slovenia and Serbia were actually pretty impressive in match day one Slovenia were able to draw against Denmark 1-1 which somehow I predicted correctly a match that they also could have won especially in that second half they were creating a lot of opportunties shesko with the thunder strike that hit the post at one point this team are playing really good football and Serbia also impressed against England now there were a lot of takeaways in that match a lot of people are criticizing England’s performance overall as well but Serbia’s defense has been really poor within the past few years and they managed to only concede one goal against England that being said typical Southgate fashion however it was really tight and Serbia looked to make a lot of decent opportunities in that second half themselves they were close to scoring at some points they showed that they’re no pushovers I’ll give credit where it’s due pavlovich definitely had a solid display against England but I do see this match being more high scoring and all over the place which is why I’m going for 22 mitrovich vlahovich and shesko master classes but defensively both sides seem to struggle a bit now I think this will be my surprising pick for the video because I feel like most people are going to pick Serbia to get the win but I don’t want to sleep on Sania I think both sides really had a solid display for match day one so I think they’re going to both continue to show it against one another at least offensively moving on to the other match in this group Denmark versus England I think this will finish 1n once again just seeing how Southgate utilizes the incredible Talent he has he’s able to get the wins against sides that he should be able to beat but always in closer fashion with some questionable moments throughout the match Denmark are also a strong side that are going to be looking to get revenge after Euro 2020 where England defeated them in the semi-finals so maybe we could see this Bunch be absolutely inspired to take down the English but I do think Southgate has what it takes to only grab a one goal against them will it be Harry Kane once again from the last tournament or will Jude Bellingham step up like how he did against Serbia in the last group stage for Euro 2020 two matches for England finished 1 n the other was a nil nil draw to Scotland so you know what I see it being similar here very slow start for England and maybe they can pick up the form or the pace in The Knockouts I say slow start they’s still grabbing three points I just think it’s going to be low-scoring fashion next up going back to Group B Spain versus Italy like I mentioned Spain demolished Croatia 3-0 Italy got a narrow win against Albania but an impressive quick comeback this one’s definitely tough to call both these sides also came up against one another in the last yearo tournament I truly don’t know what to say for this one I could see anything happening Spain look to show that they’re the more dominant side in this group for now definitely having some more pacy players on the wing for example and they look to be less prone to make mistakes compared to Italy head tohe head it’s really close between these countries Italy have won 11 matches Spain won 13 and they drew 16 times anything’s possible for this fixture but based on Spain’s incredible performance against Croatia I think they do have the slight Edge I’m tempted to go for a 1-1 draw but I’m going to say Spain are able to win 2-1 maybe they’ll outshine like they did against Croatia but I definitely think Italy will be a bit more prepared mentally than Croatia were taking a look now at Slovakia versus Ukraine as you saw from the beginning of the video group E was filled with surprises Slovakia and Romania the two underdogs most people rolled out in this group have gone three points both were extremely impressive obviously as Romania got a 3-0 win against Ukraine but Slovakia have gotten the biggest upset in Euro history as they defeated Belgium 1 n now you might be thinking that that is a bit of an exaggeration but according to the FIFA rankings this is statistically the biggest upset in the Euros sure they’re an underdog you cannot underestimate they have a very solid defensive line but unless you’re a hopeful Slovakian I think most people did not see this win coming sure Belgium’s defense has been exploited recently as the golden generation is going through a bit of an overhaul we’re seeing a lot of new faces come in for that back line and it was definitely exploited in that match for Slovakia’s only goal massive error from them but you got to give Slovakia credit for holding it down for the rest of the 90 minutes and yes Ukraine like I said got battered by Romania 3-0 a very Hefty defeat also a victory most people did not see coming but the fact that Romania scored three against them was shocking lots of erors from this nation were present in this match and if we’re going off based on how they’re playing Slovakia definitely have what it takes to grab three points against them but Romania also have the opportunity to build themselves back up once again as this could have been a massive wakeup call I think Slovakia are definitely going to have a confidence boost now so really this prediction is based on do I think Romania can come back after their downfall I think it’s a flip of a Corin at this point and anything’s possible earlier I would have said Ukraine are the favorites in this but now I’m going to say that this match will finish in a 1-1 draw another matchup that I think did have a clear winner back in the day but now it is more 50/50 is Poland versus Austria both sides show tremendous displays against the favorites of their group Netherlands and France let’s start with Poland they got a 2-1 loss to Netherlands obviously with the late WG hor winner without levandowski as well you got to give them props despite blowing their one nil lead it was still a terrific display and like I said in other probers they have been playing fantastic football this is their first loss with their manager Ralph ragn also has been excelling ever since he took over for Austria they also had a narrow loss to France and played extremely well in that match going neck and neck with them I’m seeing people some say France were slightly underwhelming in that match like how they did for England with Serbia but in this case in particular I think it’s just because they came up against a very tough opponent that have been really proving themselves lately so now obviously both these sides are going to go into this match desperately needing three points it’s a crucial match for both sides and I don’t want to necessarily sleep on either of them I think they both really proven themselves like I said but in my initial predictions I had Austria getting second place and I’m going to say that they still have what it takes to make it to the next round so I’m saying this finishes in a very close encounter Austria get a 2-1 Victory no disrespect to Poland I know a lot of people are upset with me for predicting against them so many times truly best of luck guys but I just think Austria are more well-rounded side at the moment looks like though levendowski will be making a return for this match so we’ll see if he can make a difference for them moving on to Netherlands vs France although we might be getting levandowski back now kilan mbappe’s return is questioned as he did break his nose against Austria obviously regardless the squad still has so much depth but one of the best players in the world at the moment so without him it’s still a huge loss but like I mentioned in the previous video Netherlands are missing some key midfielders these sides were in the same Euro qualifier group where France were able to beat them both times the first time was a 4-n demolition but most of the Netherlands national team were going through an illness so many players were absent there another match that can 100% go either way but with or without mbappe I’m still going to go for a France win narrow one though 2-1 once again still many key players K was fantastic in his return for the national team in major competitions Griezmann had a lot of impressive moments yeah for me I’m still going to stick with France being the ones to top this group but we shall see moving on out to Belgium versus Romania now we’re cycling back to group E this will be the final match that will be played in Match Day 2 but with me recording everything last minute I’m bumping this up a bit earlier let’s go back to that match between Slovakia and Belgium like I said Slovakia definitely took advantage of Belgium’s defensive mistakes for that one goal and despite not scoring Belgium still showed that they’re threatening in the attack they just missed some key chances Lukaku got unlucky with the linesmen and V and the internet is still debating about openda handball Lukaku is just destined to curse in some matches but I wouldn’t necessarily say he played terribly in this match definitely not as bad of a performance compared to what he did at the World Cup against Croatia this time I think he simply got unlucky at some moments he definitely still proved his quality along with all of the other pacy attackers openda coming on as a sub was a fantastic addition Jeremy doku even showed his Pace throughout the match bakayoko Kevin De bruo was a bit silent throughout though so it’s a big question for belgi will they be able to come back in form against Romania who just defeated Ukraine 3-0 big shout out to Romania for this like I said most people doubted them and Slovakia to really make an impact in this tournament and they came out with a massive statement defeating aside many people saw as underdogs of this tournament Ukraine 3-0 it looked to be Waring for Romania in the recent friendlies as they were goalless but then they came out massive just scoring all the goals when it mattered stanu with an absolute Banger at the beginning and then they just kept the momentum going throughout so Romania are definitely going to be confident in this match after topping their EUR qualifier group and now winning their first match in the tournament 3-0 in fact their only loss in recent times was a friendly to Colombia where there they put off a good fight losing 3-2 and that was going to be a tough task Colombia are on an unbe streak of their own at the moment although I gave Belgium and Lukaku some sympathy right there for the V calls and all that I still think it was a fraudulent display look I’m not trying to discredit the other teams in this group but there’s no denying that out of all of the pot one team in the Euro draw Belgium were blessed to be in this group and they already fell short looking to be scared to be sent home at the group stage will they redeem themselves against Romania or will they get frustrated once again just like Slovakia Romania have a really solid defensive unit and I’m saying this match in particular finishes in a nil nil draw no idea what’s going to happen we could see Lukaku back in form we could see him fumble once again this is going to be one hell of a match I think and definitely most people should look out for all right I’ve been waiting all day to record the next two matches first up turkey versus Portugal turkey had a very impressive display against Georgia definitely showed some errors in the defensive line but attacking wise they push through tremendously Arthur goair just set the record of becoming the youngest ever goal scorer at the Euro tournament that will probably be broken by yamal at some point but still it was an incredible strike a lot of turkeyy goals this match were great but yeah like I said sometimes defensively they did not look as compact as other teams in this group but that’s nothing new that’s how turkey normally are they love their their attacking football Portugal just came up against a side that definitely played defensively against them Czech Republic it finished 2-1 Portugal were down one nil at one point but eventually came back they were holding possession for most of the match but looked to struggle to score for quite some time Czech Republic tiring them out but eventually they found their way it definitely wasn’t the best Portugal display we’ve seen despite them getting the three points at the end in fact the first goal was an on goal the second again was a mistake from the defender Portugal looked electric at points but sometimes seemed to fail to connect the dod obviously I don’t know what tactics turkey will Implement against such a strong side but I think Portugal will find their way more often than not and this will be a high-scoring match for both teams I’m going to go for a ridiculous score line of Portugal winning 4-2 moving on now to Georgia versus czechu I just realized I should have talked about this match before because it’s actually 3 hours earlier but I already went out of order for the end anyway sorry I’m tired it’s midnight here anyway like I said Turkey were able to get a convincing win against Georgia but Georgia actually got unlucky in that match they played some great football hit the woodwork a few times as well they definitely threatened turkey at some moments and they definitely should not give up in their first ever Euro campaign Czech Republic it’s a bit hard to judge because obviously they implemented some different tactics against Portugal a more defensive strategy which almost paid off but unfortunately did not at the end for them it’s their first ever loss with their new manager hoic now in my initial prediction video I said Georgia could scrap through to get third place in this group and Czech Republic disappoint finishing fourth I obviously knew knew that was a wild take Czech Republic on paper our better side and obviously have much more history in this competition so I’m going to stick by my word now I know I’m wearing a czechia jersey and Czech Republic did nearly draw against Portugal but they did play a much more defensive game they’re definitely going to implement some different tactics against Georgia I’m just going to go for this being my upset of the video and say Georgia do grab a 21 Victory against them anyway guys those are all of my match day 2 predictions
