I remember his 3rd game with us when Liecester beat us 5-2 😂 he was horrible. We went and sign Dias after that. I would only be upset if he leaves because he knows he is only a 4th choice CB but maybe this will be a blessing in disguise because we could go and sign Torres who will push to be a starter thus improving the other lads.

I think that Ake has improved greatly.The worrying thing is that City are selling players so close to the start of the season and cannot have replacements lined up as these transfers have come out of nowhere.This is unbelievable by City to me to appear to sanction these transfers.

they need a started and AKE is not a starter for a top 8 team. he is a good backup player or starter for a team fighting around 10 to 15. Chelsea need two starter CB so this is not how i would spend the money.

I like Ake. He's been a good backup squad player. We wouldn't have done as well as we did without him and Laporte when we had loads of injuries. He's not a good enough replacement to Rudiger imo. Good in the air though 🙂

I can't imagine Ake ever playing CB in a back 4 for us. I think he would be a backup to Chilwell in a 4 and could be a starting LCB in a back 3, where I think he would do very well. Good player, very versatile and can suit multiple systems. Not a very exciting signing and £40m does seem like A LOT but if Tuchel wants him, bring him in

He came to city for £40m two years ago and won 2x pl titles, 1CL final and 1CL semi final. 40M for a career backup is abysmal. I’m a massive chelsea fan but this is outrageously bad.
He is a reliable player. All of our other center-backs are slow as fuck. The only problem with him is that he is an average ball player.
