Newcastle to win the Champions League oh the Champions League oh it just seems so unimaginable you know what I mean I can’t I can’t even think think about giving it to them makams when you’ve won the Champions League oh I I would love that or I just but wouldn’t it be great if all if you see I live in Manchester J so if I can get myself on the streets and share Joy with my new neighbors yeah as it were cuz I can’t really if it was Newcastle I’d be loving it for myself but just that Unity of everyone coming together is just something quite special you can tell you’ve not spent longly mancester of Kevin Campbell um Kevin been on the channel a few times friend of the channel Scott you know him quite well as well yeah I got to know Kev uh about 10 years ago I was performing at an nspc gig uh and he came up afterwards and I was like it’s Kevin Gumble you know I wasn’t expecting like a footballer former footballer to pay any time to me and then we just sparked off straight away and we got to know each really well over the the following 10 years became mates and stuff and for me it was just a bit know really you one of my close friends is in everon goes how come your friends were super Kev I said cuz he’s one of the best people that you’ll ever meet in your life and he really was and I know accolades when people pass away they sometimes can I don’t know be exaggerated a little bit but everyone’s come out and said not so much the the football side of it but also the the heart of of the man he was just such a lovely lovely lovely lovely person and anyone who spent any time within his company it was just such warmth I’ve never met anyone who was so positive like all the time all the time he was such um I don’t know it’s cliche but gentle giant he really really was and he sorely missed I was in [ __ ] yesterday you told me the news and I was really I knew you would be CU um like I said I didn’t know him that well I was fortunate enough to work with him a few times but I knew you were quite close to him and whenever he came on the channel he was just full of full of energy he made you feel like you his best mate like you known him for years so friendly yeah he was um Mark as well as an never tonian you know was part of your club’s history yeah I think it’s just echoed on what you said there like the big thing for me is you see like I said someone passes away are the accolades and the amount the outpouring of how much of a gentleman he was and he like he was a bit B before my time but you know he he came around 99 and there’s a video of him from either last season or the season before trying to get down goodison Road and he’s just mobbed and people singing his song and it’s like that’s just great to have that kind of impact and he was such a nice guy really engaged with the fans would never stop like you wouldn’t you wouldn’t ever deny someone a picture a chat as well I think that’s the other thing people can do pictures and all that stuff but yeah I think it’s been really nice to see kind of the outpourings of testimonies from all his like past teammates anyone in the game and it’s like it’s a testament to him as a guy and it’s a it is a big loss like a big loss like I said before my time to watch him but I’ve seen plenty of him in terms of little videos in a par singing a song or whatever just really seems like a top bloke and he’ll be missed he will and also just as a side I remember chatting to him about this when he was on um I think he the most amount of goals for any English striker without playing for England never played forland in the reserves yeah play it’s got over 100 top flight goals like the first division when it was the first division in Premier League obviously smashed at Evans smashed at Arsenal and yet didn’t get a solid Sur England cap which is just insane considering now if you have like four or five good games you usually get into the squad uh talking of the squad we’ve got the team up there the big news from Manchester United point of view no kobby man we did expect so sort of a lot of strong rumors shall we say that Alex andano was going to start field and it certainly is the case you can see that uh Jordan pford in goal uh Walker Stones sorry gayy trippy as your back four uh Alexander Arnold rice and Bellingham is the Midfield three and then you’ve got Saka Kane and foden I imagine that will be foden on the left obviously saak on the right Kane down the middle interesting to see how he does the Midfield is it going to be a double pivot is it going to be rice as as a sort of solitary number six um I’m sure it’ll all come out in the wash Scott he’ll start with you what did you make of that the fact that the the sort the big question was going to be was it going to be kobby Mayu or Trent he’s obviously gone with Trent Alexander Arnold are we going to call him Alexander Arnold or yeah we call him alander I corrected myself there because I hate when people call him Trent like he’s the mate uh I don’t think there’s any great surprise really with that decision it will be interesting to see how he plays alongside rice from a Manchester United point of view if May is going to appear in this tournament i’ rather seem eased into the starting 11 rather just seeing the what happened after the game of week when he was getting unnecessary bashed it’s it’s a really strong England 11 my my my phase for them is the conceding goals vlahovich up top you know what I mean I I think they’ve got and mitovich who’s up front as well for um for Serbia so I’ll be interesting there but it’s an 11 that you’d expect to win this game yeah D what you reckon yeah I think with what we’ve got available I guess that is probably one of the the better size we could put out my thing with a fullback being in Midfield is a bit of a problem like I think Trent Alexander Arnold is a great player his passing skills are amazing and all that but I’m just I don’t know I just feel like starting for England in an International Tournament should be a midfielder you know what I mean I just think that yes he’s really good at passing yes he’s really good at this but it’s like Midfield is so different to right back so yeah I’m a bit gutted for Kobe Manu um I just think that like it just be great to have him in there because um not only is he earn the position but also Adam wton as well I just think having a really young upand cominging player in a team like that yeah he just a bit excitement about it do you think he’s worried about the pressure though with Manu going into that after after what had happened during the the sort of friendlies and stuff yeah but you look at um is it lamin yamal 16year old playing for Spain you it up you look at marala young even even in those fines let’s not forgetting his first game when he came on against Brazil he had 100% pass completion his second game was player of the match only third game this isn’t my opinion I’m say on the whole in those fines his overall BS are superb even the one where he was getting stick from I think there was worst plays on that pitch who had far experience than KOB Manu I get your point about some of the press in particular did sort of single him out and I think it was a little bit harsh so maybe G Sal is looking at I just for me I just think as a Midfield I think Kobe Mayu is mint and I think it’s a bit of a nonsense I feel to put a right back in there ahead of him I just do and I think Tren alexanderan is a good player I don’t watch a lot of Liverpool but from what I you know from what I see a lot of his good stuff is sort of pinging them balls across can he do that from Midfield possibly is he defensively sound if he’s got a drop deep we’ll have to wait and see it’s a big call but like you say Scotty the one positive of this is that kobby may is not going to get blamed if anything goes wrong for England which I’m quite relieved about because the the record of Manchester United players getting blamed for England’s faults even when we’re playing against England in the case of Cristiano Ronaldo is unreal it’s just like no matter what happens it’s United players fault so we don’t need that on the 19 year old’s head that’s a really interesting point can you name the last time a International Tournament started and there wasn’t a single Manchester United player starting for England I can’t remember my lifetime um no I can’t to be honest with you I don’t maybe2 perhaps do you know what I mean like when’s the last time that ever happened well the thing with that is and I get your point um we’re talking basically about one man’s opinion AR really when it comes down it now we’re talking about G southgate’s opinion that he prefers to play Trent Alexander Arnold over um kobby Mayu or that he prefers folding in the left on the left side position overtaking Marcus rashford and he didn’t take him or that you know there’s also injures as well I think if Harry McGuire’s fit and I think if Luke Shaw’s fit Luke Shaw 100% walks into that he’s a left back yeah so he’s in the team so I get your point like it shows but it also shows the makeup of the United team as well we usually had four three or four plays now it’s a little bit less I think as well like again it comes back to my point a midfielder Midfield might be like proper brexit no no I get it though yeah look at someone like Conor Gallagher who I did see a tweet saying he plays every game like he’s two n down in the 18th minute which I can’t onse seee now but it’s like he’s had an all right season for for Chelsea he’s got energy on it and he’s a midfielder I keep saying he’s a midfielder cuz it’s like this is the this is tournament football this is like the top of the game International and you putting a right you he’s trying to get Alexander Arnold in his team because he’s a very very good player and I’m just like but is it worth it at the expense of balance consider his reputation of being safe though what do you think you know do you think he he’s and with the selection that you know he brought up um risk at this tournament everything we knew about G Southgate I think has gone out the window a little bit so he has his favorites was a criticism or even a compliment depending on you want to look at is one sort of attribute he’s always had he’s had a core of players he’s always stuck with your boy pigford’s been one of them uh Jon Stones um Jordan Henderson Harry MaGuire sorry Harry Kane obviously you could probably for the last few years throw in the lights of B Saka uh Declan rice and Philips Phillips Phillips before him Jude Bellingham certainly now that’s kind of G out the window a little bit in the sense that even though McGuire wasn’t 100% he probably would have been available for some games he’s not took him Marcus rashford had a bit of a poor season but he’s not took him anyway he might have got away with it he might have thought well especially when Jack G’s made the provisional Squad and you look at his numbers compared to marcus’ but no he’s not feeling him and Jordan enderson obviously I think he’s sort of signal that this is the end of of Jordan Anderson’s England career which makes sense at his age I think on that though that’s what has frustrated me about this Squad is it’s one or two people away from being actually quite Progressive for South Gate I think Warton and Mayu being in there is great it shows that any English player if you have six good months for Warton and then obviously a breakthrough season for Mayu you’ve got a spot and I think that’s great because in the past there’s been times where like there’s been a great Striker who’s had you know maybe it’s a Watkins or I I say car Le got a chance in the last was it the World Cup or I think it was the Euros Euros yeah that’s did well you’ve got a chance to get it was call Wilson the yeah so you’ve got an opportunity and I think that’s what he’s shown in this one um I obviously have my feelings about a certain amission to the squad well we’ll get into that let’s I want to talk to you about that because Jared branway obviously has been heavily linked with Manchester United we’ve had varying reports I think the latest one was that terms were agreed between the the player and the Manchester United there was then this these reports that United had put in a bid I think of 35 million quid that was just rejected straight away I think United at the time recording this are going to go back in with another offer or in the process of going back in with another offer the issue I’ve got with branway is I haven’t seen a lot of him and the only games I’ve really see him in is when it’s a big game if it’s against United or it’s against City or it’s against Liverpool it’s one of the games that’s on the Telly so it’s very difficult for me to make a sort of measured or um sort of you know insightful analysis of him you watching week in week out you’re massive everon and obviously just on first first things first when you heard that United R for him what was your initial thoughts on that initially I was like he can do better okay so you look at where United are right now I think he’s in the position where he can pick his next move he can go Madrid Bayern all these top top teams left-sided 6’4 again really good on the ball does he do it ever as much no but he can do it and he’s he’s shown he can do it so first thing is like classic like United are in for him of course I think at first I was like United in for everyone anyone who’s done any good thing in football gets linked with United and I I knew things like was coming with PSR were kind of struggling with you know the two points deductions one season we’ve got to make sales we’ve got to be profitable we’ve got to be sustainable so I knew people would be coming for him people coming for Madu Anana who i’ be more likely who I’d be happier selling Anana than than brano so I was like it’s going to happen but it’s nice to have a player that people are after because we’ve not had that for for years maybe since for charlon maybe so yeah initially I was a bit worried but when it was United I thought you say you say like he could have gone Madrid but like Bayern Munich have got a lot of center backs aren they Real Madrid are pretty set on their Center back and I think even if United finish eight was still one of the biggest clubs Europe was still a huge Club he’s a when I watch him he’s a man United Center back right okay I think well man united right now don’t know because you who is what is man united right now but the man united that I’ve I know grow growing up and obviously you’ve known for years he fits a lot of them like if you signed him for example I see him being there for he could be there for 10 years for example could beting so what I see of him and I watch him every week he’s ridiculous he is ridiculous what what sort of what are his best attributes then because obviously we know he’s we know his age he’s already got a lot of experience for a 21 year old you mentioned early off camera he’s been on loan to PSV I think he won a cup there you said he’s obviously he was it car he started out and then we B then went on to Blackburn got bit so he’s he’s got a lot of experience for a 21y old been in and around the England squad very unlucky in my opinion not to make the final for the for Theos what type of player is he in terms of when you’re watching him I think the the best thing about him is his composure in the defensive situation so like you’re an EV player you’re going to be defending a lot and I think it’s how he deals with them moments that I’ve been watching Michael keen and Mason Holgate for years and that’s not fun because they panic and they they get agitated but he seems to deal with these situations with just an ease and then he’s he’s he’s tall his legs seem to last forever so he can just go in and somehow whip the ball back he and it’s that composure that I find amazing in them situations what do you make of his personality do you think he could be the type of player that may force a move if if the money isn’t right between the two clubs so I don’t think he would from from what I’ve heard obviously I’m not in the no but he’s not one of them who’s you could try and find an interview with him there might be one or two out there from his old time he don’t speak a lot he just gets his head down I and that’s why I think if he does go to man united it’s because the club are going right we need to take that offer it’s we can’t deny it whereas he’s not he signed a 5-year deal in early in the season so we’re quite in a good position a lot of ever fans including myself would rather take three-point deduction if that’s what it meant really to keep him that’s how good he is to us think he’s worth more we think he’s worth he’ll earn us more than three points I was going to say three three points is losing one game if you’re going to lose six games because he’s not there exactly yeah and so what I see with him as well like I I I watched a lot of Jon Stones when he was at Everton thought he’s great I think bran way now is better than he was when we sold him like I’ll happily cuz Stones was class as well but I think the way that BR goes about it is there some kind of almost looks easy for him and he loves defending like being next to tarosky helps but he loves it like getting down tackling in the air his head is amazing so um yeah I think he’s got all the tributes to if you you had him next to Martinez ridic ridiculous is it what this I see cuz he’s a left-sided Center back but there was there was reports that one of his old coaches or you you all know better than I am saying he’s he’s he’s actually naturally right footed uses his left more cuz he’s that’s he finds it easy to use both feet yeah I don’t know he used to play midfield so up until was 16 he was Midfield and then he got pushed back for like you know that kind of story one game he got pushed back and then smashed yeah smashed it you can see that in how he plays so I yeah he uses his left a lot but I I wouldn’t say he’s really one footed okay um that’s why I think he’s got a lot of value and it comes down to like United fans will say oh he’s not worth x or y z that’s fine but it’s to me watching a player like that at 21 English we got him for 1 mil from carile and he’s obviously he kept second most clean sheets in the league after Gabrielle and um CA with toosi that for us is ridiculous because we won’t be able to replace him for even with 20 million we won’t be able to replace him because he’s he’s a just fantastic and I get I don’t get passionate about a lot of EV players because it’s hard CU some of them are like crap but he is he’s just done some of this year that’s got everyone on board with him how would you feel about we were talking about this the other day and they don’t happen very often but swap deals is it is obviously United also need to get rid of a load of players and the B like to Maguire and Lindelof that we might be looking to ship so first I wouldn’t want any of it but for the purpose of the conversation right back’s a area concern for us Nathan Patterson’s just done a really bad injury Coleman signed an extension but you’re not going to get years out of him and then it’s Ashley Ashley Young I feel like Juan basaka has got Everton all over him I love I love Juan basaka yeah I think that he’s imagine with d loves a tackle keep simp beautiful so like there’s that I also aded Sun money I also think Maguire would be would be great for ever in a low block like kind ofal good games that could us some yeah McGuire always seems to turn up against us so I don’t think I think the problem with that though is that we need money in the books that’s the problem for the profits that’s why we’re trying to offload an aror to like Arsenal someone cuz he’s a great player by the way just doesn’t really work at Everton like he he wants to receive the ball turn he’s quite popular figure amongst United fans on I’ve seen a lot of United fans on yeah another one when you when you watch him when I don’t watch a lot of him when he always think he’s good he stands out he’s decent he he has got that I think the my problem is and it sounds like a proper old ever and dar kind of saying but he he plays like he’s imagining him in a compilation sometimes he can just he’s playing for the Montage and he’s he’s going to have a great career he just won’t be at Everton and I’ll be able to go if he goes Arsenal bu whatever like there a few Barcelona Apparently after him with all the money they have like I’ll happily like you know he will go and have a great career just I just can’t see it at Everton because he’s one of them who’s like what does he do well he does a lot he plays really well and there’s some really he has some good like compilations already but I think he needs to go to a bigger Club to to Really Express himself cuz receiving off the keeper Everton is just not going to happen for a few years is it just one final one DSE say Jared branway what would it take for you money what’s the deal where you go yeah do you know what makes sense I think in our position yeah I could I I’d want some at 70 to 80 right okay but I could see suit being like a 65 with suit on top 65 on with some on top Talent obviously the with the the the academy going back 100 years or whatever since we’ve already had an academy player in the in the squad for each match day all as fans love that sort of thing so look at the way he was brought in his first season he’s given what half a dozen games five minute cameos two minute cameos everyone’s talking about the next big thing they don’t get GID it then when he he gets brought in the next season 12 games 14 games whatever little cameos maybe the carabal cup game he’s into a team that are dominating possession surrounded by world class players it’s it couldn’t be any better for him the third season a little bit more do you know what I mean it’s gradual it’s constantly gradual until you get to the point now even last season after the World Cup he gets a break yeah like pep drops him for a month and brings in greish meanwhile you know anyone who did anything for the World Cup United is playing every single minute in every single game all our just like a few of the we have Lis Warrington who he was involved a bit this season he was on loan at Ply didn’t get quite the got an injury and then came back and been released and he was one of the only ones we thought oh he could come through so recently it’s just been awful either we had to sell L Sims um to centry for profit and stainability he was done all right but he was like 22 23 I think he broke all the Rooney’s records so we were always excited about him but we had to take a bit of a low fee for him because we needed to sell him and he’s done well but like yeah I think Everton’s Academy used to be quite good as well like we used to get a few people coming through it few exciting people you got broney I obviously Rodwell coming in but didn’t have quite crey Barkley obviously than we’re playing today or like Spain you see the sort of floating football that they play and whilst England are winning it’s not been for the caliber of players at Southgate as at his disposal and I’ve always felt this about England it’s never what a better phrase sexy football do you know what I mean yeah no I agree I agree um I do feel especially I just getting them three points is the main thing for me I just think you got to get that win under your belt and then you’re in a good position in the in the squat in the group and then maybe you can mix it up a bit but I understand your point here for England I don’t think that’s just the the usual hyper ability from England fans I think Bellingham for players like that right up um so you’d expect a little bit more than what we’ve seen but for me the first game especially get that win yeah get that win it’s a statement isn’t it it’s a tournament football so like you you look at teams like you know Italy have done quite well Switzerland started off well but you look at like Spain they’ve really Blown Away Croatia cuz I thought that’d be a bit of a closer game so I think half of it’s more about getting the fans up as well because obviously we had that game against Iceland was oh God like crap yeah and it’s not just going go on get a few goals sing the national anthem and get going like it is that thing of like statement like we’re here we’re England I think we’ve lacked that like a bit like we’ve got some of the best players and I think our Squad you only say France is really Rivals it CU you look at teams like Spain and remember us having another shot Target apart from the goal I don’t think um we got some stats here for you just on that front um the um obviously one nil to England um XG which everyone loves is um Serbia is 08 uh England 32 um shots three shots to England two to Serbia One On Target uh one touch from Serbia in the opposition box six from England 58 6% possession 56.8% possession 43.2 for Serbia no corners from either side and seven fouls committed for Serbia four by England so England good value for that one nil it’s not dominant but it’s the better team in terms of possession in terms of shots in terms of touches in the opposition box let’s not forget as well for at half an hour of that game England have been winning so obviously you’re not going all guns blazing when you’re one n up it’s more the the owners should be on Serbia to come at us so it’s a pretty professional performance by uh G Southgate team I don’t I don’t Grumble about it too much I’m not exactly mesmerized thought thought Bellingham stepped up other than that quite forgettable like I said um but just good that we’ve kept it would have liked that second goal but Keepers made a really good save there so yeah take it move on to the next one I think maybe looking at someone else starting the Midfield yeah for the the next game uh Scotty your thoughts yeah I mean it was typical England’s first game in an International Tournament just seems to be every every two years this is the performance that they put out um yeah Trent Alexander Arnold experiment didn’t work one thing that is for sure given the probably one of the five finest minutes ever in international footballs when kobby Mayu came on I’ve never seen anything like it in my life superb make sure he’s starting the next game against denm Ethan you were cheering squealing oh yes like Deliverance over there um well I I predicted a one-nil win chair yes you did well that’s nice um and it was just about getting the job done for me if that was a draw with Denmark up next it really could have been a disaster cuz if we considered then confidence would have went out the window but clean sheet with that back four with Mark Gay and JN stones trippier and Alik I I was a bit worried about that back four coming into the tournament but um Serbia really didn’t threaten Pigford too much did there that pop shot from V vlahovich was probably their best chance um and it was well my heart rate wasn’t good at all at that game until that chance and then I managed to get a little bit excited towards the end but apart from that it was a bit of a snoozefest wouldn’t you say it was a bit of a snooze Fest yes thank you everyone that got involved in the chat and the comments so we did appreciate it um not much Sur about England have got that win kobby man came on for a little bit of a cameo I mean you’ll take it it’s not one you’re going to remember forever but it’s a win for G South Gates team and like you say with Denmark and Slovenia
