Juventus are in advanced talks with Aston Villa to sign Douglas Luiz.
The clubs are also discussing deals for Weston McKennie and Samuel Iling-Junior to join Villa in the opposite direction.
The deals are separate but all part of the same negotiation, Sky Sports News understands.
Each player has a valuation and there is expected to be a cash payment from Juventus to Villa to make up any difference.
Sky Sports News has been told negotiations are getting closer to a full agreement.
We understand a sale will help Aston Villa meet their PSR commitments.

It was always going to happen, aston villa are a small club that have a few very good players, they can't and won't be able to compete at the highest level, they will be a mod table team again next season like they usually are.😊

For those who don't know. Douglas luiz has been identified as the only player who we can afford to lose and gain a substantial fee for. Since his position is in the midfield, Villa feel his position is easiest to replace – finding someone else at a lower free. Villa don't want to get rid of Douglas luiz, however they've got the likes of Emi Buendia and Boubaca Kamara coming back from injury which will hopefully add depth in the midfield + the addition of a cheaper midfielder option
And this is why the spending rules need to be changed as clubs like villa and newcastle cant spend to stay challenging at the top
Being a villa fan and qualifying for the champions league is fantastic but selling your best players is your reward for qualification is just ridiculous

Im happy! Luiz is a solid steady eddy in midfield, we need more creativity in midfield, which is why we signed Barkley and whoever else comes in will improve the team further. Plus, Im so sick of Luiz stupid penalty run up! It shows lack of confidence! Run up and leather it! Then if you do miss we dont looking stupid! Milner is best pen taker last 10 yrs! No frills, runs out, bang, goal! All these stupid run ups give keeper more time to figure out! No frills Milner has missed 2 pens in about 50! Honestly, Luiz out is just more Villa Progression, Id be even happier if Unai sells Massive Mistake Every Match Mings too! Look how better we have become without Mings in Team! Villa fans support every player to the hilt! But as a Villa fan 40+ years who remembers our 80s glory days, I've seen Villa at our absolute best, and both Luiz and Mings have served us well ….but they aint Dennis Mortimer, Gordan Cowans, , or the defensive colossus Ken McNaught! Not in their Title Winning/European Cup Legendary Class! so jog on Luiz and Mings! If we want to win Trophies under Unai…..its the right move! 👍

I’m a villa fan but been honest if u look at the games he didn’t play in at the end of the season we played so much better. The last 2 premiership games we won Bournemouth and Arsenal Luiz was suspended. He will be a big lose but I rather lose him over Watkins, Martínez or Bailey.

Rumoured to be 20 mil and two players we'd be silly not to take this deal. Great player but can go missing plus we have Ramsey who can play in the centre if need be tiemelens mcgin kamara and that McKennie plus another player who can play in wing back and winger position for the deal strengthening the squad in other positions which helps balance the books
We (Arsenal) need a CM. Villa have wanted Smith-Rowe for ages and we never play him. Smith-Rowe + cash is staring us in the face. Why are we letting this pass us by?
