Mid-table club midfielders Eze & Wharton (with four caps between them) are obviously going to create more of a threat to higher level opposition, than Grealish or Madison – you know it makes sense 😊
I have heard Grealish took himself out/agent advice as seeking new club due to incoming relegation.

this season was jack a first choice for pep, in and out of the team most of the season? as for james madison the same as jack, in and out of the team, the truth is there are better players taking their place based on form
I'm starting to think people don't watch football anymore. Grealish has been absolutely woeful this season. Even last season he wasn't anything special.
But people keep repeating he brings in something special. What if his last season at Villa was a one off? Like the number of times i've seen him get praised… If he wasn't English there'd be far more criticism about him. 100m and he showed far less playing for the best team in the world than Pogba ever has.

What was the point of Grealish going, when despite a terrific performance and directly responsible for creating 2 goals he is sent home. Southgate has a downer on him as he is a bit of a maverick. He is to England football what Danny Cipriani was to English rugby. If anyone thinks Gordon for one is more worthy of a place they are delusional.

I agree Palmer is better than Maddison and Eze is world class. The fact he doesnt have more minutes is Southgates mistake in the first place.
However. England will never win anything with Soughgate in charge. He is not even a premier league level manager.
He has fixed certain problems that existed before him in terms of the general setup and team building and created bigger ones with his fossil football and team selection.
England haven't the squad depth, to not take grealish, especially a creative player like him. Yet here we go again, foden, saka, great club players, don't perform consistently for England, and get a media pass…..every time.
Southgate just doesnt know how to pick a squad that can play well together consistently and coach at a high level – thats the problem. Saying that its hard to do regardless because of the limited time the job gets with players. Southgate isnt up to the task. He got lucky before and his limited ability as a coach is showing through. We need a high achieving premier league coach and not just a corporate yes man with some experience.
Jack was unlucky with injuries last season. He played well most of the time and would've brought something different to the England team. The caller is right.
The only good news, as far as I'm concerned is that this is another nail in this inept drip Southgate's coffin. He's both useless and clueless, tactically beforehand in the way he sets up his teams, and his in game management, where his ineptitude comes to the surface. Maddison has been poor since he got the injury against Chelsea.Even spurs fans acknowledge that.
Grealish is a difficult one.
This season he has been average,but he has qualities at international level that help a team.
1.holding the ball up.
2.getting free kicks in the opposition half.
3.slowing the game down if the opposition are on top.
Man city haven't played him as much this season so i can see why he was dropped.
England have an abundance of good attacking players in form.
Shame we haven't a good allround team that can win it.
