  1. Germany's advantage is the options that they have. Yes, a front-4 of Havertz, Wirtz, Gündogan and Musiala is rather narrow and reliant on intricate short passing and fluidity. But replace one of them with Sané and you quickly add more width. Or add Beier for more pace and directness. Or Füllkrug for the traditional center forward role. And so on.
Germany can basically switch between different approaches seamlessly, as could be seen in the recent friendlies. If the "4 x #10" approach doesn't work (I think it will work best against "big teams"), there are other options that will.

  2. Ronaldo still got it and is the best striker Portugal have. They have other options who can share minutes with him in Jota and Ramos. I don't care if he is 39. I wouldn't care if he was 43. I hit a PB in Benchpress at 43 with 200kg. I know speed isn't the same, but consider all the other attributes he have.

  3. gotta be mbappe, he is way way better than all other attackers in France. cr7 got some scorers around him, and so does Kane.

  4. Unfortunately, nobody rates penaldo. He is a finished merchant sulking in 6 yards for the tapins…. flat track bully when playing against minnows but exposed badly against decent teams.. clear baggage to the team

  5. why do this ppl hate cr7 young cr7 was fast n skillful like mbappe and old cr7 is more like harry kane slow when running but deadly in the box or near the box so if im the one making decisions i dont see my self leaving this guy out as we need goals to win and not pressing

  6. Why does epsn continue this foolishness anti ronaldo biased?! I'm a huge psg fan and watch their games ramos is si overrated and was played and given chances galore throughout the season and wasn't psg ideal striker. Ronaldo constantly proves himself in every league and you guys still question him and praise messi FOR SVORING GOALS AGAINST CLUBS LIKE DC UNITED?! (I live in DC lol) ronaldo could win the euros and you guys will say he doesnt deserve it. He can't do anything right for you disgraceful

  7. Je suis deçu de ton analyse Julien. Serieux? L'influence de CR7 NE SE LIMITE PAS AU PRESSING for Godssake. You two are best pundits in ESPNFC and yet when it comes to Cris, it is the same. You clearly show that you don't like him

  8. Giroud according to these clowns isn't old enough to be a starter for France. It's almighty CR7 that is easy for them to point out. CR7 had only one bad season which was his last at UTD cos he got a lot going on personally. His problem will never be his age. He is the best porcher even at 39. Put some respect 🙌🏾👌🏾

  9. Considering the group Portugal are in and the quality they have all over the squad, I wouldn't be surprised if CR7 is the top scorer of the tournament.
An easy group is critical, just look at Kane at the 2018 WC.
Lukaku also has a good chance, but Belgium are less likely to make a deep run than Portugal.

  10. @Juls: if you are reading this, you are so naive and ignorant and you hate Ronaldo so much that you would prefer to play Ramos against France, the same Ramos who has bottled in French League but you will not give up on this self created pressing item. Ramos never presses, Ronaldo and Messi have never pressed in their lives for God sake. Portugal team learnt the lesson of starting with Ramos against Morocco and the way you are talking about it as-if Portugal won the last World Cup. You guys are shameless

  11. It’s so ironic that Gab has simply cut Ronaldo’s 50+ goals into half in the same league where Benzema is struggling, Neymar struggled till he got injured, Firminiho struggled… the way they quote Saudi league as if it’s PS5, these guys are so ignorant and naive

  12. What nonsense from Gab. Havertz is compete dog breath. He’s absolute pony.

Ivan Toney would be far more productive and a much better outlet for Arsenal

  13. These people just don’t know what to say about him and hate to admit he might do well. It’s honestly amazing how they just glance over. I’ve never seen any other show do this. It’s shocking how much effort they put into discrediting him.

  14. Negative news sell, A lot. Ronaldo is a big name, so We understand but at least when compliment his performance just ease on the but

  15. I don't understand these guys, 39-year-old C.Ronaldo is still one of the best goalscorer in the world and yet they criticize him for not defending or pressing and yet they don't criticize the other younger strikers who are guilty of the same thing and don't score as much goals as he does. This is just weird. 😂

  16. expecting a 39 year old striker to backtrack and defend… lol kicking the same old erik ten hag can i see…
Strikers should be striking… if you're an erik ten hag manager you're not going to reach new heights when you' entire teams getting drained from backtracking then countering. Wearing out your striker… rolls eyes
