  1. Jon Mackenzie with the braindead "Ronaldo makes the team worse because he doesn't press" take. Basing it off a loss vs Slovenia and a win vs Sweden no less LOL. No wonder England is a failure of a national team, you guys think running and "spirit" or "character" is more important than being good. Also saying Portugal plays open because of one game against Croatia (Ronaldo didn't play btw, by his logic I guess he's important to their defense huh?) when they were basically flawless in the qualifiers.

  2. Netherlands looked really good Depay+Xavi+Frimpong plenty of pace and creativity there and solid def VVD Deligt De vrij VVD also good in corners set plays

  3. I don't like that front 3 of Havertz, Wirtz and Musiala. It just doesn't look right, and it feels like they will all need the ball to be at their best. Too much of a good thing can be bad and that's a good example there. If I remember correctly Germany got burned last world cup for not playing a striker enough minutes.

I'd prefer to at least have pacy forward or a pure no.9, or both. So I think Sane or Fullkrug have to start.

  4. Thanks for the Albania shoutout my man , you know what ur talking about , Albania PoV : call an ambulance , but not for me , for them haha

  5. Not England.

Here we go again – Media bigging up England before a major tournament held overseas. For those under 20 who can't remember the last 3 times a tournament was held in Germany. 1974 – England didn't even qualify, 1988 – a team with Barnes, Beardsley, Lineker, Robson, Shilton couldn't win one game, 2006 – Beckham, Rio, Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney, Owen – Quarters.

If Athletic knew their England history. – they will know England have never even reached a final of any WC or Euros when it is held overseas. They have only reached one semi at the Euros, when held overseas and that was when the Euros was made up of 4 teams and that was the WC winning team. So what suddenly makes Athletic think this generation is any better than all the other England teams that have failed at all the previous tournaments held overseas?

If 1966 is any guide – for England to win a major tournament their best chance remains when it is played in England.Ā That team had: a great manager, great players, a talismen in Bobby Moore/Charlton and crucially Home advantage. So, although I am excited about this tournament I do not expect England to win this Euros. There are too many keys missing for them to win it just like all the previous England teams I have watched since 1986. So, I am still of the opinion that 2028 is England's best chance at a shot of the Euros and they need a great manager by then. And that is assuming the final is played at Wembley.

  6. England don't have a defense or a manager, Germany are pretty ordinary all round, Spain and Italy haven't got any forwards, so it has to be France, no weaknesses.

  7. If it wasn’t for southgate, England would be my first pick. However due to the unfortunate circumstance that he is Englands manager, I’ll have to pick France and Germany over England for this euro.

  8. I think France, Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Croatia have less chances to go far because they are in difficult groups. Teams who spend too much mental and physical energy during early stages lose composure. Remember in the last euro, Group of death France Germany Portugal all got Knocked out in the last 16, despite displaying fantastic matches in the group.

  9. loved the german fans segment, always interested to see how other fans think of english players especially when we often feel 'clouded' by english media
