Neuer is the sole reason that I think Germany won’t go far. Ter stegen should get the chance.
I don't understand why so many people rate us (France) so highly compared to anyone else ! England clearly has the strongest squad, and Portugal's is stronger too.
I mean, we have great players like Maignan, Saliba, T.Hernandez, Camavinga, Griezmann and Mbappé, and other very good players, but we have to start with Upamecano who's had a bad season, Koundé, Rabiot or Kanté which is not ideal, Dembele who never scores although he's good, and Giroud who's about to retire. I just don't get it.
England have Kane, Bellingham, Foden and Palmer who all scored tons of goals this season ! Add a midfield Rice and TAA, that's fantastic. Stones and Walker are great too. Yes Pickford, Maguire and whoever ends up playing at left back isn't as strong, but it's the strongest squad, easily. They'll score plenty of goals.
And Portugal has such a homogenous squad ! Very good keeper, great defense, very good midfield, great attack. No weak positions in my opinion.
Germany and Spain are very strong aswell. Yet all english-speaking football youtubers seem to put France as favourite for some reason

You just pick favorite in each match. As Croatian its funny to see how people again underestimate us. We have probably better team then on last wc. And we play in Germany so we are like second host. While all other top dogs seem weaker. Only teams that scare me somewhat are France, Portugal and Netherlands.

Great review.. some how since 1982 1986 germany always had france number i dont remember in major tournament when france beat germany . only italy has great record vs germany .. and spain to 2008 euros and 2010 wc . England will finish bottom. Their players are too timid to be tough whilst preoccupied that they’ll offend the opposition team whether mentally or physically. They peaked last 2 tournaments & like Southgate, missed their big opportunity as with previous times when their glorious superstars flop at the biggest occasions.
