Here’s Jonathan Williams, eldest son of Sir Frank, at his brilliant best as he brings to life the 1993 Belgian GP at Spa – his eighth-favourite race in WilliamsF1 history. He points out that his selection of this Damon Hill classic may surprise many Williams/Hill fans but for Jonny it held special significance: he’d grown to love Spa after watching with his father at the base of Eau Rouge in 1990; and Williams had never before won at Spa. Jonny also talks about “the Big Three” – by which he means Alan Jones, Nigel Mansell and Damon Hill – and recalls how the Jones-Patrick Head relationship formed the baseline for many a team de-brief well after the Australian’s departure from the team.

Loving every episode.
His father obviously didn't rate Damon that highly at the time as he didn't even want to renew Damon's contract while Damon was fighting for the championship in mid 1996.
With respect and apologies to Clare but what would the current state of WGPE be had the multi-talented Jonny been in charge these past years ?
If we loose this heritage and name from f1 it will be a poorer sport ,like Tyrrell and Lotus to name just two others
Coman what’s about montoya on Williams
And the reason Johnny Williams didn´t take over the running of the F1-team is? Well… Too late now…
Daniel Ricciardo is that type of driver, is still currently underrated, will do the move with half an opportunity.
If you're watching without hitting the like button why are you such a prick ?
Spot on, the three most influential drivers for Williams. I always thought that Damon was underrated. He was far better than people give him credit for
Totally agree about Damon being a great driver. I think he's thoroughly underrated and was a wonderful driver. He beat Prost in the same car when he was essentially a rookie. Why don't people understand that? I'm still a Damon 'girl' after all these years. 😀
It is often forgotten that Damon sat in the other side of the garage to such great multiple world champions as Prost and Senna and delivered for the Williams team despite than immense pressure . His character and resolve to steady the ship after Ayrton's death and climb back in the car a few weeks later with all the rumours at the time regarding mechanical failure shows the calibre of the man. Massively underrated as a driver and a true gentlemen if you have ever had the pleasure to meet him.
You both hit the nail on the head. Damon, Nigel & Alan all arrived at Williams underrated but with great determination as well as great talent. Boy they showed the world as well as Frank & Patrick eh? Damon's greatest achievement for me though was to pull the team back up after Ayrton's death – just the way his dad Graham did with Team Lotus after Jim Clark was killed. That's what I call character. Check out the '94 Spanish GP and look at Adrian Newey after the finish, you'll see what I mean.
