  1. Good Individual talent at Club level but poor as an England team. Would drop a few more players. I keep saying England are too slow on the build up. Relies too much on Harry Kane. I am still not impressed with some of the younger players on the pitch.

  2. Southgate will probably have the players playing darts with the media or playing childish games in the pool. Also, no doubt, he will allow the WAGs to bring their circus over as well. It is this kind of nonsense and unprofessionalism that has cost us dear over the years and no doubt will cost us again. Southgate talks about meticulous planning for games, forgetting the most important ingredients of all…heart, fight, bottle and desire. It is normal for teams to take on the DNA of their managers…sadly that is also the case with Southgate. He can talk the talk…but just like his penalty miss in Euro 96, he cannot walk the walk.

  3. We have the players to win this thing…what we don't have is the manager. If you gave me the choice of having Eoin Morgan (arguably England's most influential captain in any sports in recent times) or Gareth Southgate as England manager for this tournament…then it would be Morgan all day long. He would instil confidence, discipline, fight, desire and a winning mentality. These are the essential ingredients that Southgate lacks.

  4. Said it at the time, not bringing Branthwaite is going to be looked back as such a massive error and Southgate will leave England with his tail between his legs, knocked out early doors

  5. The amount of hate we get as England fans does nothing but motivate us, you abuse our players, you mock our team, you berate us for supporting OUR country and then wonder why we dont win anything.

We are hated for existing, so even if we win people will taunt us for no reason.

Portugal loose to slovenia- we say nothing
France concede in 7 SECONDS and LOOSE- we say nothing
Spain loose to colombia- we say nothing
France draw with CANADA- we say nothing

As soon as we loose, the haters come out and verbally abuse us.
At this point we dont care anymore, if u dont wanna get behind the lads, the team and this fantastic club f off and find a team that suits ur likeings.

  6. Dont forget they were also dire under Cappello and Ericksen, this is just a continuation of our FA appointing crap managers or in Southgate,s case complete wokey yes men.

  7. The English media are the worst:

Before: "We're guaranteed to win it – aren't we?"
After: "They're and absolute shambles – what a disgrace."

My god, it's a friendly – failure is the key to success.

  8. The Britih press is truly disgusting! Get behind our team for once and stop the racism against the young, black players! Gareth Southgate has been one of the most successful England managers by all metrics. I cannot understand the hate!

  9. Except last week when we had a squad full of bang in form, young quality talent & in great shape for the tournament.
Dorsett’s a muppet, never get a good word out of his trap.
France drew 0-0 with Canada last night, wonder if Les Bleus are having the same cataclysmic meltdown our media seem to have gone on?
Buzzing to bring the trophy home and have every one of these doomsday reporters eating humble pie

  10. The problem is not the manager or the tactics. The issue is that for their clubs, these players have the support of many the best foreign internationals in the world who create chances and score goals with world class efficiency. Without these world class internationals, this is the result. When playing for their clubs, England supporters need to discount the contribution made by foreign internationals when trying to gauge prospects for the national team. Supporters always forget this and extrapolate aspirations based on club fortunes, forgetting to subtract the international contingent.
