  1. Saka is an exceptional talent , let's appreciate his talent and the effort he puts in when given the chance both at club and national team level, both the press and fans need to realise football is a team game and individual members of the team are as good as the team, if the team fails or succeeds it's down to the collective effort.

  2. Tom can’t help but admire and appreciate all the work you put in to for this and how considerate you are with all that you do. You’re appreciated!

  3. There was a Ghanaian journalist saying he won’t be surprised if Kobi gets the same abuse as Saka did! Considering both players will never face such treatment playing for Ghana and Nigeria respectively! So they’ve got themselves to blame! Sadly their love for a country that doesn’t love them shows the importance of choosing the country that appreciates you more

  4. I am totally disturbed by the face of failure tag given to a young talented Player . from the racial intent of these comments, give the lad a chance.there are 11 players plus substitutes that make up a team. Give respect please press guysand girls. For the love of the game 😢

  5. Tom regarding the saka racism this is why I won’t support England in the euros literally all players of colour are getting hate white players who actually played badly don’t get any criticism

  6. The worst treated player in football is Harry Maguire. The shit he gets on a regular basis is absolutely inexcusable. I’ve no idea how media gets away with it time and time again

  7. Hi Tom. Great content as usual. I totally agree that we should talk about any form of racism. It needs to be discussed and aknowledge that it is still out there in one form or another.

  8. Right on the money Tom! The only way to move forward is to call out racism at every opportunity. Very proud of you. Btw…announce frenkie de Jong

  9. Can we please call out the press for plastering Saka's face across the back pages which they used to expose England's team failure. He came on as a sub in the second half for 25 minutes. Racism out now. They didn't use Declan Rice's face- who played the whole game- and not actually his best game ever much as I love the guy.

  10. Interesting you raise the subject of Saka, Terry from the Football Terrace has done a pod calling the media out on this. It's quite outrageous they focus on someone who barely kicked a ball in the game implying they were the reason for the result.

  11. I am on holiday and don’t want to think about work. Thanks Tom for taking time away from your holiday to work. Appreciate the show and your dependability!

  12. Love the shows Tom, but I have to disagree. I don’t think it makes any sense to send Rambo out on loan. Everyone knows who our no1 is and that means they know we’re looking to sell. Raya was on loan here, and while I think he did well, we could’ve easily managed it in a way that made it seem more balanced and kept Rambo more in the squad to make it seem as though Arteta really was only testing the waters with Raya. The way he managed it however was poor. Everyone knows we have to sell, sending him on loan will only mean (whether he does well or not) that he will have 1 year left instead of 2 making us lose whatever little leverage we have left on that player. Poor all around when it comes to how we’ve managed that situation. I’d sell him for 20-25m now rather than send him on loan and then sell him next year for 5-10m.

  13. Loan for Rambo, if he has a good season, he’ll be a Ā£40m+ keeper again which he most definitely was after 22/23 season. I feel we need to do the same for Nelson and probably missed a trick not doing that for ESR. As much as i despise most things City and Chelsea do, they do utilise the loan market well to get top dollar for academy/fringe players.

  14. Kane missed a crucial opportunity during the game, but he was not solely blamed for England's defeat. Instead, Saka, a black player who played less than half of the game, was unfairly targeted. This reflects a deeper issue of racism in England and Europe. The roots of this racism can be traced back to historical conquests and colonization by the Moors of North Africa, who brought advancements in cleanliness, art, math, algebra, and disease prevention. The resentment towards these conquerors has perpetuated a culture of discrimination and unfair blame towards black individuals.

  15. So glad you covered the Saka racism Tom, only just catching up, was gonna send you the pic but also didnt want to ruin your holiday. (Also i think the painting is called The Creation on Man by Michelangelo) thanks for the great content and have a great holiday

  16. It should be Southgate’s face on that back page. He has so many great players but as soon as a team plays a low block, he has no idea. His team has one way of playing, I just can’t see Southgate motivating anyone. I think he is a nice guy but sometimes you need to light a fire under a player and when you’re a drip you’re not lighting anyone.

  17. Saka will remain a beloved Arsenal and Team England player for all people of good character.
But I reject Tom’s statement when he says that as a white man he’ll never experience racism.
Discrimination on the basis of race can and does already occur against people of ALL races. For example, it has been occurring in America in the form of hate crimes against Asians and whites in cities like New York, where even helpless old women have been randomly and repeatedly assaulted for what are obviously racial hate crimes. It’s happened at Jewish synagogues as well. And it’s also happening in the form of race discrimination for hiring of employees in the form of exclusion from consideration, or at universities where it’s deemed there are too many Asians present so universities bypass even the most highly decorated students from admission in favor of people of other ethnicities.
All I’m saying is, racism comes in many forms. Perhaps the racism against Saka IS the most egregious type. I think it’s positively abhorrent! But that won’t be fixed by implementing even more racism against people of other races. And racism does not always have to come from people in positions of higher power societally. It just doesn’t.
We CAN fix this, if we all work together to eliminate ALL forms of race discrimination. And I truly believe that’s the best way moving forward. JMO.
    Much love to all peoples.ā¤ļø

  18. plain racism and regardless your race we should support the boys once they put on the shirt to play for england… if they did this to foden, kane etc we should have the same energy, support them.. it’s common human decency… i remember the iran game england beat them 6-2, all goals and assists from rashford, saka, sterling, and one more block player.. guess what lol, they had grealish on the back papers for that victory lol… there might be some decent news outlets out there so i’m trying not to generalise but damn just back the boys, all of them… we don’t need this toxic aura prior to a massive tournament for the manager, coaching staff, and players šŸ‘šŸ¾šŸ‘šŸ¾šŸ‘šŸ¾šŸ‘šŸ¾
