Paris is the biggest talent factory in world football. Over 50% of the France squad for the Euros played youth football in the city, including star man Kylian Mbappe. So why does the region produce so many top footballers?

  1. 9:26 That's why Argentina won, out played and played better football than people from Paris. That's why River Plate Academy, Boca Predio, El Semillero (Argentino Juniors) has a history of over 100 years of elite players. But that doesn't fit your European, French agenda. 🤷

  2. So many jealous argentines in the comment section. 4 World Cup finals in the last 26 years and won 2 . 3 euro finals in 22 years and won 1 . Hold that jealousy

  3. Deprivation among the immigrant communities in the suburban housing estates is why. The best players come from the ghettos and Paris (and France in general) have been extremely "efficient" in creating them. Post colonialism at its worst but it sure produces good athletes, same as in the US's Afro-American community.

  4. London has surpassed Paris for Talent now. The fact London born and raised Olise plays for France officially confirms it. If only England was as inclusive as France in football and wasn’t scared to pick to many Black players, they might be successful like France. The youth England teams win because of this but it is stage how the senior team is less diverse than the successful youth teams.

  5. Just think actually many of others players who play for moroco algeria senegal even portugal lol come from ile de france dialo mehrez coulibaly benatia aubameyang etc….crazy

  6. Despite this, the local football club in Paris, PSG, was bought out by Qatar and has spent nearly two billion on players. Instead, they could invest a tiny fraction of that amount in developing youth talent to play for them. No club in world football needs to spend less on players, yet they have spent among the most!

  7. The World Cup victory in 98 had a MASSIVE impact on football in France. French Kids could see that we could be winners and it was already a diverse team. Zidane and co inspired a whole new generation. Same now with Mbappé.

  8. I believe we all should thank Africa 🌍 for that , & am not talking only about who's mentioned here .. there's no denying that 👌🏽

  9. Immigration has had a hugely positive impact on football, especially in places like Paris. Diverse communities bring unique skills and a deep passion for the game, creating a melting pot of talent. Many young people from immigrant backgrounds see football as a way to succeed and integrate into society, and their drive and dedication lead to incredible levels of skill and creativity on the field. Plus, with strong community support and excellent local academies, these young talents get the training and opportunities they need to shine. This mix of cultural diversity and opportunity is why we see so many amazing footballers emerging from immigrant communities!
