It hard to judge him based on the the system he is played in. He played in a transitional style of play system and tried but his strengths shines in a possessional style of play.
Man u should keep him for they are switching their style of play to positional one. Then he will come out as a guaranteed starter as his strengths would come to light.
Keep him, even if we get another DM, he is a great player to rotate with, especially if we get a young Dm. If we promote Gore, Oyedele or Fletcher to the first team having him on makes sense.

I would personally be disappointed if we made Amrabat a permanent signing. I totally get that Amrabat ended his loan spell better than he started it but…
One of the biggest criticism when analysing our latest season is our inability to control/see out a game of football. The defensive midfield plays a big part in that.
Both Casemiro and Amrabat treat the ball like a hot potato when being pressed. Its the same story with McTomminay when he gets used in a deeper role.
I know its not the popular opinion as everyone likes the destroyer archetypal DM but we honestly need the Carrick/Rodri type DM.

I would keep Amrabat. They realise now that you need to play him in a double pivot and not leave him on an island by himself. Ten Hag has preached united need to be able to rotate a full starting 11. Amrabat is an ideal back up defensive midfielder. If they can get him for around £12-14m I'd be happy with a deal like that.
In my opinion, we shouldn't keep him. Firstly we need to sign a cdm in youssouf fofana from monaco as case's replacement.
Secondly, since we want to see more of the youth, either collyer or oyedele or even both should be backup to the starting cdm.

He's done a steady job and keeping should be an option for United if we lose Casimero but as you highlighted, the fee is the sticking point. If there's a way to discuss a reduced fee then cool.
I'd keep him, like we should have kept Sabitzer, but he's a squad player. We need someone to come in as first choice, next to Mainoo. For 20m I'm not sure you get better

Casemiro and eriksen are on way out ..Mainoo is all u have left, so sign Amrabat for squad depth plus another new DM.. for long United have lacked a destroyer midfielder. Amrabat played that cdm role so well in United's final 4 games including squeezing out City players..with him United looked harder to penetrate in midfield than with Casemiro or Mctominay
No…ruthless and best in class. He's less than avg in the cdm role. Move on
