Hey guys, contract actually runs til 2025, point still stands, gives Spurs more leeway.
Other clubs are smarter than Leeds old regime with player contracts. End of story.
I know people like to go straight to the negatives, but Spurs had no intent to extend Rodon. What if this is part of 49ers negotiations cause we didn't go up, so loan with obligation smart business both ends.
I’m surprise Rodon agreed to sign the extension.
I would look at other options, for 8-10million there are probably better players out there. Rodon will now cost us 12-15million, too much when we have other areas that need recruitment
I do question why Rodon would do this knowing it would cause us a problem in signing him, unless a further loan deal with an obligation has already been agreed for this season
No one talks about it but Joe Rodon offers nothing attacking from set plays he just seems to flop them corner chances turns into a 50p head, Jacob Graves higher potential quality on ball and a goal threat better options

He will be an asset to any team going up so it will be interesting to see where Rodon wants to play next season. If he chooses Leeds and there is a buy clause we should use him his value will still be retained if not more with promotion.

I think Rodon is a good player, and would value him at £8. I think he's worth and extra £2m to us, as he's proven with us, and would give us a settled, experienced, presence. I wouldn't pay any more than £10m though.
£12 to £15 million is a lot for a Championship Centre Back given if you don’t think Rodon is Premier League quality and bearing in mind we have Cresswell in the squad.
If it was possible, I'd be loading with an obligation to buy for 15 if promoted. Saves the pennies now when we need it and if we're promoted, another 5 mil is pocket change

I think we go for the best defender we can afford be that Rodon or another. Sentiment has to do out of the window if better becomes available I would go for another player and not play Daniel Levy's game. We got Ampudu for a bargain players can become available if not this season, next
They have extended his contract so he can return to Leeds on loan with an option to buy 100% you heard it here first
Assets are ok if others are willing to pay or pay when we need them to. We already know the loan 6 aren't wanted by Farke so we've no negotiating position with them either. Clubs will wait till late on the window and ask for loans or small fees cos they know we need some £. This will delay any incoming buys imo. Only way round it might be to cheat like Villa Wolves, Leicester, Everton et al and spend anyway.
