Victory fan here, was very priveledged to be able to head to central coast and support the boys, major props to the so many victory fans that went, believe there were 4-5k of us there. Could have predicted that scoreline from a mile away though, we did it against wellington and got lucky. If only Brimmer had put effort into marking edmonson this wouldve been a whole different story. Hope the coach goes, parking the bus after a 50th minute goal is not how you win a final away from home.
Big props to the mariners fans though, had to sit in the middle of them all as we couldnt get into the away bay. After Geria's goal they all fell silent, but after the first goal the home advantage was so strong, without the immense noise in that stadium at the end they probably wouldn't be able to pull the comeback off, thanks to the fans that had to deal with us cheering on victory lmao and even when they scored the winner we had people wishing us a safe trip and thanking us for coming out. Fair play to the mariners, and thank you for exposing how horrible our strategy is!!
I’ve watched this video many times, 4 great goals, and the only thing that has annoyed me every time I’ve watched it (and must have on the night but I probably didn’t notice because I was so filthy about the goal getting scored hahaha) is melbourne fans doing 7 nation army. Overrated song, and I actually just looked up why the fuck they even did it haha, stealing 20+ year old ideas that were already lame as fuck to begin with. It was so good watching the Mariners beat melbourne, they had no right being there in the first place, and then throw in how they won their last grand final……. Fuck melbourne
