Dear God no, not Weston. Perhaps there is a reason why ppl are not talking about him. He isn't a jump in quality in my opinion; also includes showing a poor attitude, arrogance at Juve; same at Leeds which I saw in real time as I liked to watched them, he didn't apply himself, would disappear, zero fight or professionalism. Has also had clashes with his US teammates. He is lazy, prone to put on weight and has actually turned down our interest prior to joining Leeds.
We need to put this rumour to bed. How would he improve the team? Weston would be a massive step backwards with no upside. If available on a free as a Dendonker upgrade fine, but it would be disastrous for his career. Villa's finances require some clever manoeuvrability to purchase squad upgrades. Kephrem Thuram can upgrade our midfield and occupy both 6 and 8 positions. Why waste money on Weston when whatever is wasted on him can contribute to a higher quality purchase?

Am I right in saying all players we bring in that are under the age of 21 don't go towards 'negative' FFP/PSR calculations as are seen as youth investment allowed thats free from regulation or is that only applied to English born players that are U21?

I've had a quick catch up on weston mckennie and he looks like a different player this season. He's quite an unusual player with a higher ceiling with his attributes. He's is strangely quick and technical in a slightly clumsy style. He looks physically great aswell. I think he's got another level to go up so I would actually like him at villa if we get a good deal on him.

Weston is not for me
I watched McKennie a little this year at Juve. He is a very talented, mature, and intelligent player. My expectation of him at Villa isnt ânext levelâ stuff⌠but he is very very competitive. I would love his mentality and skill on our side.
I like Guendouzi a lot. I like his size, his defense, and his football IQ. Guendouzi would be very dangerous at Villa in Emeryâs system. I can see a lot of assists from him.
