I reckon Hungary will be like Turkey in Euro 2020. Everyone tipped them to be dark horses and then they flop.
what I quite like about the format with most 3rd placed teams going through is it could encourage teams to go for a win more than the "play for a draw/not get beat" mentality. One win could be enough to get through as most teams aiming to scrape through will likely lose to the best team, and drawing the other two probably won't be enough whereas one win could be. I'm interested to see how it plays out, but wouldn't surprise me if Scotland managed one or two draws to finish 3rd and go out (personally I think we'll lose all our games and finish bottom).
