Is it just me that doesn’t think Trent is good enough in tight spaces to play in the middle? He would have made a brilliant right winger in a 442 but a central midfielder he is not. Would like to see him get more minutes at right back especially against weaker teams or if we are chasing the game
I don't really undestand what game people watched Eze play. He was pretty poor in the first half, a couple of nice dribbles seem to have pulled the wool over everyone's eyes. He's not particularly quick, he is strong and well balanced, but certainly not electric.

Pardew thinks they're light on left footers and wants to leave Branthwaite at home. Say's he would have had a 6ft 8in Burns, Branthwaite is 6ft 5in who's played at left back and the left hand side of central defence. Even if he doesn't play he is a cover for both positions.

It’s sloppy to not have included Ruben Loftus Cheek in the squad. He definitely deserved a place over some of the other midfielders.

Jeez – Eze was poor – couple of flashy runs and then was stopped in his tracks – didn't make any runs down the wing for Trippier. No link up play. England got better after Palmer and Eze went off!

Eng were rubbish while TAA was in midfield, slow and predictable. Eng only started playing well when Wharton came on. Could name 10 midfielders not there better than TAA
No player should be judged of this game…i think he already knows who he is taking and people hating on players for what because of there opinion we need to get behind the team no matter who goes…southgate has done well and if we win it or not je should still go he will of left leaving good foundations for the next manager to build on…english player's should go abroad more as is happening now and kane and Bellingham thriving but also getting knowledge of the game outside of the Premier league

The Gallagher and Wharton combination needs to be developed. They seemed to be working well together and controlled the midfield for good parts of the short time they were together.
