Xabi Alonso belongs up there with those two, he's been consistently excellent for three clubs in three different leagues (that has to count. It's hard to say who is the best in that deep-lying central role but it's definitely between Prilo, Busquets, and Alonso. All played during the same era too.

Busquets great at press resisting and finding the line breaking pass in tight spaces pirlo delivers high level lob passes can play as advance playmaker, both players are slow and aren't that tough yet there technique and IQ payed off

As they both share the same position, Busquests is more defensive player with line breaking passes and also more than that defensive work. But Pirlo was more into attacking than defensive. His creativity was phenomenal. And he was also a good free kick taker.
As they played the same position there roles were bit different. So comparing both of them are exceptional….
