On this week’s Scout Report, we’re looking at Manchester United’s form over the first half of the season. The club looks to be on a genuine title charge for the first time since Alex Ferguson left, and with Klopp’s Liverpool and Guardiola’s Man City enduring tough runs, the Red Devils could have the opportunity to sneak a championship from under their rivals’ noses.

We look at how the club’s attack has been transformed by Bruno Fernandes, and what exactly Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has done to get the best out of the Portuguese – but we also examine the team’s weaknesses, with the decline of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic, and continued mediocrity of Fred, leaving the side porous in midfield. Then we examine the numbers of potential targets like Leicester’s Wilfred Ndidi, Lille’s Boubakary Soumare, and Juventus’ Rodrigo Bentancur to see who they should sign to protect Harry Maguire and bring their defence up to the standard of their attack.
