I think the weakest part of this england lineup is the defense in comparison to the rest of the squad and that is how they might lose.
Drop Kane and the curse will be lifted
England will top Group C if they play their cards right. A smart play and not being too over confidence, England will make it either semifinals or final.
So are you predicting France not to top their Euro group ? Otherwise, with England also topping their group, the two can only meet in the semi-finals.
You can always count on Southgate to grab defeat from the jaws of victory.
Floor: quarters. Ceiling: final, but no win. If I was in charge, I'd play 3-4-3 or 3-2-4-1 with Gordon at LWB, Mainoo as Rice's midfield partner, Foden and Bellingham together behind Kane. When we defend, Foden and Bellingham will alternate in terms of defending the wings, with the other joining Kane on counterattacks. My back 3 will be Walker, Stones and Konsa.
It's similar to Ericsson's 4-1-4-1, where Carrick/Hargreaves played as a holding midfielder to accomodate Gerrard & Lampard.
