By my calculations you will have memories and awareness of 8 World Cups and yet you still have that naive belief that "this year" is England's year.
You need to accept that 66 was the anomaly year, the fluke, aided by home advantage. And that the quarter finals are England's rightful level.
Accept that England are never going to win again and you will be a far happier person during these tournaments.

Still cant believe Southgate took Saka off, he was roasting Hernandez for the entire game up until that point. Another occasion where he sat on his hands and didn't make the necessary changes to push over the line and get the win when it was right there for us. No need to keep Henderson and Rice on, he could have easily moved Foden inside, taken one of those players off, then brought on Rashford and or Grealish. When we went 2-1 down that was one of the changes to make, not sure how Sterling and Mount got on ahead of either of those two. Could have even made a case of bringing on Maddison for Bellingham as well. A huge opportunity wasted.
I think most non arsenal english fans will start seeing how good Saka is now. Man tore up one of the best LBs in the world all game. Just gotta get him running at people in a 1v1 and sometimes 1v2s
