Andreas Christensen, a former Chelsea centre back, has been formally introduced as Barcelona’s latest signing. In six years at Stamford Bridge, the 26-year-old played 161 games for the Blues, winning the Champions League, Europa League, and Club World Cup.
He has now signed a four-year contract with Barcelona, with a buyout clause of £420 million.
Christensen is seen in formalwear with Barcelona president Joan Laporta at the club’s training field in a video from the presentation shared on the club’s official Twitter feed.
It comes after he was seen previously flashing a thumbs up while having medical treatment.
The Catalan club also shared photos of Christensen clutching his new team’s jersey, albeit it is unclear what number he would wear because the shirt was numberless.
