  1. I cannot wait for next PL season, being able to watch another US player that will be getting significant playing time on a PL team will be amazing

  2. @0:40 wait the USA qualified? I thought we were out after losing to Mexico or some one…

Shows how much I pay attention. I hope we give you guys hell 😎🍻

  3. He played like an 8/10 role for us in this game. He wasn't carrying the ball through midfield it was more like help establish possision then get forward. He provided a lot more creativity then we normally have and combined well with pulisic which allowed us to play through the middle of the pitch. For leeds in a 4231 I expect He is the 10 or one of the two wide 10s in a 4222

  4. Truthfully he could probably play 8, 10, or the wing and be successful depending on formation. Him at the 8 shown he is committed to defending as well as connecting back to front in transition. I hope he has immediate success at Leeds but either way he will give 100% effort.
He had some good moments against Uruguay as well.

  5. He doesn’t start for us because there’s way too many players in front of him if everybody is healthy
We use Aaronson as a winger on either side on the left wing we have Pulisic which is our star player but Aaronson is the back up to him and pulisic doesn’t have the best track record of staying healthy so aaronson does get a good amount of games on the left wing
He could also play right wing and there are 3 players in contention for the starting right wing spot in Qatar which is Weah, Reyna and Aaronson usually Reyna is the starter but he’s been out for about 9 months now due to a very unfortunate sequence of injuries so Weah and Aaronson got their chance to prove themselves and Weah has definitely done better for us I swear I don’t remember the last time Weah had a bad game in a USA shirt Weah has been so key for us that there’s talk of benching Reyna or Moving Reyna into the midfield when he returns so Aaronson is probably the 3rd right wing if everyone is healthy in this game vs Morocco and in the game vs Uruguay we tried Brenden at the 8 and he was great in both games our starting 8s right now are Mckennie and Musah, nobody is benching Mckennie but Musahs spot is definitely up for grabs Musah had a brilliant performance vs Uruguay and got a lot of praise from the coach but imo Aaronson compliments Mckennie better in the midfield, both Mckennie and Musah are box to box midfielders which end up leaving our team a little bit one dimensional because our only threat in attack is our winger and fullbacks but Aaronson is more of a creative 8 which gives makes us a little more unpredictable as he is able to pull strings from the midfield which is what the fanbase has been looking for and he also isn’t bad defensively he definitely has the capability of being an 8, Reyna might get his shot at the 8 when he returns Mihailovic was going to get tried out but got injured in the game before camp started we already tried De La Torre and he looks really good as well but as it stands right now Musah, Aaronson and De La Torre are going to be fighting for the 8 spot next to mckennie for Qatar and Aaronson is my personal favorite of the 3 but only time will tell what coach thinks

  6. Brenden Aaronson played 45 minutes against Uruguay and looked great again. He was probably our most dangerous threat in that game either him or Weah. Brenden does start a lot of games for the National Team because others are usually not fit like in this case Gio Reyna was injured. Reyna, Pulisic, and Weah are probably lock starters at this point. I suppose he could potentially start over Weah but Weah's form for the National Team has been great so there's no need to drop him and plus he doesn't compete for the RW spot because he usually plays on the left or as a 8 for us. We don't play with an attacking midfielder.

  7. Hoping the 'Medford Messi' nickname catches on to the Leeds supporters. I don't feel like enough people are aware of that nickname or why he has it. It's not a comparison to Messi, it's more of a small town joke to basically say he's the best player to come out of Medford, NJ.

  8. So even though he played as a 10 at Sazlburg and that is what ppl expect him to be, he actually came out in a recent interview on the "In Soccer We Trust" Podcast and said his preferred position is more of an 8/box to box type midfielder.

  9. We absolutely love Aaronson in the US. Incredibly tenacious and very impactful already at just 21 years old. The reason he isn't an every game starter for us is we just happen to have lots of wingers and attacking midfielders who are all about his age. If Reyna, Weah, Pulisic, Musah, McKennie, de la Torre, Tillman, etc. are all healthy, who do you drop for him? Aaronson's capable of being as good as (or better than) every single one of those players on a given day, but they all deserve a chance, so it's difficult to get any of them consistent minutes.

  10. aaronsons problem with USMNT is he has Gio Reyna, Pulisic, Weston mckennie and Weah competing with him for spots. because Aaronson is so versatile it's hard hard to solidify a spot since he's good at alot , while others are great st the one thing jn their only spot. but the talks are him starting if he balls out

  11. Your analysis is spot on. It’s been really great to see the warm reception from the Leeds supporters regarding his transfer. Those of us who follow the USMNT – and all of our boys abroad – know exactly what Aaronson is all about, but it’s cool to see the English fans starting to get a glimpse and to like what they see.

I think he’ll be a fan favorite at Leeds pretty quickly. Excited for the coming season! Marsching on Together 💪🏼

  12. Brendan A-a-ronson is definitely one of the best American players right now. The US manager I believe at one point considered him to mainly be a winger, but has lately played him at the 8 or kind of a hybrid 8/10. He's certainly a lock as a World Cup squad member, especially due to his versatility, but if everyone in the squad is healthy, probably not as a starter. He's one of the first in as a sub or rotation player for sure. As most agree, his biggest asset is his work rate. He's an absolute pest as a presser. He's got decent technical ability (and seems to be improving it steadily), and I think one of his best quailities is that he is pretty good at converting scoring chances and his off ball movement is excellent. I really hope he does well at Leeds next season! By the way, some folks think his little brother Paxten has a higher ceiling than Brendan…

  13. "How has he not scored?" Welcome to the US' #9 dilemma.

Even if Brenden's not an every match starter with a full roster, though I think you can make an extremely strong case for him to be, he's still clearly part of the main core group and plays a bit of a swiss army knife role with all that he can do. Can't wait to see him in your system.

  14. So excited to see what BA can do for Leeds. Add in Roca, and hopefully another 2 midfielders and Leeds could look like a completely different team next season.
