Why go on about rashford & Henderson it’s not difficult even sterling he’d need 7 chances to score one goal & with England you don’t get that many!! Rashford can’t control the ball & Henderson isn’t needed because hopefully we will play the ball forward not sideways or backwards , if we are going to play with Southgate’s Italian blueprint then we need players that can quickly get the ball forward, hopefully we will play players in there natural positions !!

I would have left out Gareth Southgate ,score then sit back ,holds back an underachieving team,it’s what separates him from deschampes and del bosque both winners.
The defence options are a big worry
There’s a reason why the likes of Germany always called up players like Podolski or Klose or even Giroud with France who sometimes were out of form for the club but still very effective for the National team. Rashford is that type of player to be honest and already had great chemistry with the core players. He also has that personal drive to redeem himself from the penalty miss. Sometimes you don’t just pick players from form only. You think of it as a unit.
But why was he always picking maguire and Philips when they were not playing good in their clubs

The defence has to be the right call, for me we have brilliant midfielders and forwards, but apart from walker and stones I'm struggling to see a real solid set up. It's now down to the coaching team to do the business.
