If Arsenal were 7th in the league, Man Utd were 8th in the league and there was an FA Cup Final between Spurs and Man Utd, Spurs would be the type of team with a fanbase who'd want to lose the final so Man Utd get Europa League football and Arsenal get pushed out of the European places. Spurs won’t be winning any trophies, it’s not in their DNA. United even at their worst can still reach finals and occasionally win a cup. That’s the difference.
