Manchester United U23s were soundly beaten by Premier League 2 leaders Chelsea at King’s Meadow. Neil Wood named first-team star Facundo Pellistri in his side to face the league leaders today as well as Teden Mengi and Hannibal Mejbri.

Pellistri had netted in his last three outings for the development side after hitting the ground running following his summer transfer from Penarol. United conceded twice within two minutes which set the tone for a disappointing performance in the capital.
