FC Midtjylland has taken a big step towards the Danish championship.
For the Jutland club impressed on Thursday evening by winning 2-1 over FCK in Parken stadium.
Both FCM scores came after big personal fouls from FCK players.
FCK started the match the best and had a great chance after just one minute through striker Orri Oskarsson.
FCK keeper Kamil Grabara dropped the ball when he had to grab a harmless cross from Dario Osorio.
The ball bounced off the Pole and straight out to FCM striker Franculino, who thanked the gift by kicking an easy 1-0 goal into the net.
Ten minutes before the break, Oskarsson scored, but a VAR check correctly disallowed the goal for offside.
Instead, FCM struck at the other end. Again due to a big mistake in FCK’s uncertain defence
In the second half, the home team chased the reduction that could bring the tension back.
Instead, FCK suddenly got hope of points, when a Mid-Jutland hand on the ball in the field resulted in a penalty kick.
After 87 minutes, substitute Diogo Goncalves reduced the score to 1-2 for FCK from the spot.
But despite heavy FCK pressure in the end, there were no more scores. The golden arrow thus points towards Herning.
