people just don't get rivalry, do they? hating arsenal is something that comes with being a spurs fan. it's not "obsession" or "small club mentality". spurs fans hate arsenal and arsenal fans hate spurs. that's how it should be. in this specific scenario, arsenal winning the premier league is a bigger thing than spurs getting champions league football, which we won't even win. in a decade, people won't be talking about how spurs got champions league. they'll be talking about how arsenal won the title. i love tottenham and in an ideal scenario, i'd want tottenham to win against any team. but it would hurt me to see arsenal win the premier league. the pain that i would feel seeing arsenal win the premier league is greater than the joy i would see tottenham getting top 4. and if it was the other way around, arsenal fans would see it the same way. weird how people are trying to downplay the rivalry between clubs
