This is a tribute video for Team Melli Iran’s 2015 AFC Asian Cup campaign. This video shows highlights of Iran’s group matches against Bahrain, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. It also contains footage from the controversial Iran and Iraq game, where referee Benjamin Williams undeservingly shows Iran’s LB Mehrdad Pouladi his second yellow card of the match, and sends him off. Iran with 10 men battle for 120 minutes to take the match to penalty shootouts, but unfortunately are knocked out when Team Melli player Vahid Amiri misses the net. The goals scored by Iran in the competition are by Ehsan Hajsafi, Masoud Shojaei, Sardar Azmoun, Reza Ghoochannejhad, and Morteza Pouraliganji.
I want to give a special thanks to the Asian Football Confederation and for the nomination of Benjamin Williams for the quarterfinal match between Iran and Iraq. Asia couldn’t break Iran’s defense, but the AFC (Asian Football Confederation) sure did and proudly got the job done. Congratulations to FIFA and the AFC for exemplifying fairness.

Iran DID NOT LOOSE THE GAME, it was the result of the referee's biased judgement
It was NOT Iran which lost the game, it was the DISGRACE of ALL REFEREES and the DISGRACE of Asian Football!
It was an EPIC game!
I am still hurt by the loss but thats football…
What is evident is the heart and soul Iran showed which is not like any other Asian Cup team.

Iraq will have fun watching Iran on TV at the world cup
iran was truely best team at the Asian cup 2015 by far and only lost to such a bad misjudgment by the referee.
I hope he didn't do that on purpose.
