Silver medallist at Rio 2016 Olympic Games, he played for Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Mönchengladbach before moving back to his hometown club of SC Freiburg. But behind a very friendly and family man, he is the defensive rock to take Germany to a new glory in Qatar.
