  1. Even though they certainly have a better squad, the whole Spurs situation this season reminds me of the Christ Wilder / Sheffield United 2019/20, where for the first few months they seemed to blow teams away with a marauding attack with the unique overlapping CB style at the time, but once they were found out it all went to sh!t, same thing has happened with Ange/Spurs.

  2. 5/10.

There have been some highlights, but equally some awful moments.

Some good signings, but way too open. Not too bad given all the injuries, but after their start to the season it should have been much better.

    Average at best

  3. A "superb" first season? Who is this guy?๐Ÿ˜†

It really is not. We might get a few more points than last season but take into consideration we didn't have any European football, it would have been a good chance of getting somewhere in a domestic cup, or getting top 4, and we've done neither, while Ange spent about ยฃ150m on new signings already. Poch got top 5 and a cup final in his first season and spent nowhere near as much, with a poorer team than the one we have now. Plus we're conceding as many goals as we did last season, which was a 20 year high for goals conceded.

  4. Last year, when manutd came 3rd, media: chelsea, liverpool were so bad that is why…
You don't hear them saying that for villa, spurs even liverpool this time.

  5. When Ange came in most people thought wed be lucky to finish in the top 10, but after the brilliant start the Chelsea game and poor performances against Wolves and Brighton have cost us dear but a top 5 finish is still an improvement on last season and the football is a hell of a lot better, so id say 7/10

  6. I think just the fact they spent 200 million last summer and committed the worst bottle job in Premier League history being the first team after 10 games to have 26 points and not get top 4. Not to mention the fact they went on a 5 game winless streak after that being the first team in history to fail to win after going up a goal in 5 consecutive games dumping them out of the top 4 means he's underachieved.

The reason it's the biggest premier league bottle job is because they were top on game week 10 on 26 points, 5 games later and they were 5th with 27 points after spending 200 million pound on a squad that Conte had in the top 4 last season.

  7. Iโ€™m an Arsenal fan but I think heโ€™s a decent manager and has done well in his first season in the prem. If he wants to go to the next level he needs to be more detail orientated and have a plan B and C for different scenarios. We had the same under Wenger where it was our way and nothing else and unfortunately that does not work in the modern game- you get found out just like Spurs did against Chelsea.

  8. Iโ€™ll rate it – not as good as Ten Hags first season, but because he calls the media mate and comes across well he gets a free ride.

  9. Spurs have always been a 4th-6th place club. They are where they should be.

Their fans have weird expectations about their club.

If Spurs finish 4th and Arsenal finish 5th, they will praise their team, and will think that they had an amazing season finishing 4th.

If Spurs finish 4th and Arsenal finish 2nd, they will criticise their team as if they had a rubsh season finishing 4th.

It seems that, to their fans, it doesnโ€™t matter how well or poor Spurs have actually performed.
