  1. The VAR referee is clearly lying when he says they both played the ball. Everyone can see only the red boot touched the ball. You can't get that wrong. Cheating and lying by the VAR official. Disgraceful.

  2. This programme is honestly a waste of time. Owen should have said, “different competition but same weekend a penalty was given against United for the same handball incident. Please explain how the same governing body, with the same rules in place come to two different outcomes.” Instead he just eats it up and we carry on and listen to another nonsense excuse on why a clearly blind VAR is in a job.

  3. 1. Ashley Young kicked the back heel of the player, anywhere else on the pitch it’s a cheap foul, so it’s got to be in the box as well

    2. The handball was a penalty, the arm was away from the body and it prevented Chris wood from scoring a tap in

    3. Nothing more needs to be said.

The people who invented VAR probably thought it was a bulletproof system that would completely irradiate bad decisions, all it has done is highlight the absolute incompetence of the ‘professionals’ who use it.

  4. Get rid of VAR now, it is killing the game. What it has shown is how stupid the people in charge of refereeing the game are. Everything else should be fully automated, goal line and offsides.

  5. Is it only me who thought this was a reasonable explanation from Howard Webb đŸ€·â€â™‚ïžAll three were subjective with the last one the most likely to be overturned but in my view Hudson Odoi has slowed down to be touched and then fallen over rather than Young intentionally bringing him down.

  6. I was at the match and all game they where looking for a penalty there was more than just these 3 incidents where they where diving and play acting maybe the referee thought it was another attempt to deceive him because I would of ?

  7. Reyna’s one has been given in multiple games (shocker that they were awarded to big 6 teams) the second one for handball has been given in multiple games (shocker that it’s also big 6 teams who have received this), the third one is 100% a penalty. “The video assistant referee team constantly checks for clear and obvious errors” is the FIFA guideline for VAR but if it’s not going to do that then get it out of the game!

  8. How come at no point does Howard Webb apologise and say that this was a clear error. He says if VAR had got this right the ref would be sent to the screen which implies its subjective and not an error

  9. Young went through the Hudson-Odoi's back, didn't play the ball. VAR official is either lying or blind. It's just a cover-up for mistake after mistake. You shouldn't be making mistakes when you have slow motion and multiple camera angles. How did the VAR official not see that as a penalty?

  10. Clearly a penalty, he's going through the guy and never touches the ball, there's no chance for the attacker to recover and regain control, it's a goal scoring opportunity missed by a defender that challenged poorly!

    Terrible decision!

  11. 3:09 Classic avoidance and word salad from Webb. He doesn’t really answer Michael Owen’s question. The referee has made a clear and obvious error in thinking that Young played the ball. Of course it’s possible that the VAR team didn’t really pick up that the ref said “ played the ball “ , but Webb doesn’t address this. Why was t the ref sent to the monitor to review the decision based on the fact that Young did NOT play the ball?

  12. Sky need to cancel this show. Mates all together are never going to address these incorrect VAR calls. This is the one chance to address with the boss but Mr Owen just isn’t up to the task.

  13. Having watched this actual show a few times I don’t hesitate in saying it’s such a boring and uninteresting show. Offers no insight. Have also the opinion that Owen is the wrong man to present this show
