  1. Let's be honest, with a good accountant, "only" 6 months or so of wages then expenses for living over there, put some into investments, I'm sure that will be down to less than £1m for earning about £16m

    I'll take that deal 😂

  2. If he just acknowledged moving to the Saudi League was for the bag, nobody would fault him. But using a marginalized group as an excuse to do so was shameful and gross, and seeing him beg and plead his way back into the Prem is even more infuriating.

It won't be long now until other players that left for the Saudi League start getting the hell outta dodge themselves too. This sportswashing project was never sustainable.

  3. He was a wonderful captain but he the way he left without even saying goodbye or anything kinda left a sour taste tbh. This guy was there when we were nothing and captained us to everything you would think he would have got a parade when he left instead it was just an offseason social media post and gone

  4. Then there’s the problem that nobody wants him 😂 wouldn’t get anywhere near the Forest midfield and we’ll probably be in the bottom 3 in a couple weeks

  5. And that’s not true at all. We have a double tax treaty with Saudi. If he’s charged tax here, he can claim it back under the tax treaty law. Just creating content for the sake of it regardless of the credibility, huh?

  6. Always was, is and will be a coward and fraud. How people only wised up to this fake 'social crusader and leader' shows how many casuals follow the sport. Let him rot where he belongs.

  7. This is a great example of what happens when you have uncompetitively high taxes. Here we have a multi-millionaire who actively wants to work in the UK, but will instead work in Holland because our tax rate is too high.

An excellent real-world example of tax economics
