Always loved fofana.very solid and physical and would release Rice to venture forward or interchange.the guy has presence.wish we could have signed him back then and sell Elneny and lokonga though they have been loyal
I’ve always thought City were going to win all their remaining games. The huge positive to take seems to be that we do have the mentality to fight until the end. Arteta is absolutely the man to get us over the line in the next couple of years and maybe dominate like City have.
We can only control what is within our control COYG!
If it's still up for grabs, what chance the Spurz fans cheering on City when they meet ? 😮
Wouldn't it be extremely fun if we beat city to the title on goal difference
Zubimendi's reluctance to leave his boyhood club makes me nerves that he wouldn't settle well in England. Reminds me of City's Jesus Navas, who got homesick.
It wouldn't be liable because you can only get got if you know it's not true, basically. You can't lie, but you can say things that aren't true if you think it's true. City will not be suing anyone
The thing wish sayin "officiating is not consistent" is basically like say "people make mistakes"
It does not implicates any issues really.
But more important is to dig the data. Please hear me out.
We are playing a sport of small margins. Man city has basically now (if they win game in hand) have 1 % more poins than us. 1%, thats it, so they only have to be 1% better result wise.
What does some random freekick on Foden does in game yesterday when it was onlo 1-0? Yes, it adds their chances to score. Lets say free kick gives team 5% to score a goal from it, so the just added 5% chaces to lead 2-0 instead of 1-0. This small things add up.
How about Kovacic 2 red-card fouls against us? Just not consistant? So people saing Rodty gets away with almos anything is just a meme?
Real thing to do in discussing refferee issues in the press-journalist way will be to make a data collection job, count decisions for title challangers and count how much advantage any challanger got and|or lost during last, for example, 3 seasons. If this advantage is more than 1 point, well, here is your "man city are best club in history' vs "man city is just pumped with money and have same outcome as other big clubs"
We alll saw how much decisions barcelona was getting 10 years ago, yes they had good players, but it turns out they was buyng refferees too, because its small margins ref dont have to score goal or just do obvious things, theyu can do it to give 1-5% advantage, thats enough
But noone digs the numbers, its too much work and there is easy way to just say "this 1 thing was a mistake and its bad' and do not see the systemic issues (or not to look for them as journalist)
Yousufu fofana all day ,he is a power house

City game was a giveaway,Did you see how slow they were passing the ball so that city man them can win the ball easily there was no competition there yesterday….
Tom, I am not waiting for favours. All I want is for us to win our games which will be a difficult ask.
Refs should be fine and fair but the reality is just diabolical. Football is a multi trillion dollar industry worldwide mostly through betting, with such consistent inability to officiate games is pgmol all fair and above board? They don't seem to care when teams complain and don't really answer to anyone!
Watching the match I’ve changed my mind on the Saka non penalty call…he needed to avoid contact and just trip over his own feet and Badabing🤘
Man City winning all the games until the end of the season with 91 points. We winning all the games until the end of the season with 89 points.
Just got your 999th. Great show.
Opta have to correct their predictions algorithim. It should be 100% for City seeing as they also get a lot of help from the referees.
Brighton and de zerbi is so dreadful, they are the architect of their own downfall. And he keeps changing goalkeepers
The funny thing is that I am happier for being in it. I won't feel all that bad if it doesn't go our way. I just want us to fight and not collapse and hand it away. Proud of the team.
bout time we get sum youssouf fofana links. gud stuff. just realized the bloke is on a 5k a week contract (according to fbref).. that is so miserly for a professional footballer of his quality, in monaco no less lol. wot on earth
not Fofana man😂😂😂
Tom – big ups for creating and maintaining such a supportive + spirited community here.
I'm in Canada — far removed from the splendor of London, the Emirates, and Peri-Peri Saka Sauce — so I listen to TGT on catch-up, and, even though I'm a typically a chat-box of one, I still feel connected to the group here.
Have a pint or two on me and enjoy your weekend! COYG!
why is ther e no link between Ollie Waatkins and Arsenal
Unfortunately Spurs will do everything to stop us winning and they will fold against City it’s not in our hands unless they drop points which won’t happen
The media and politicians are one and the same; they all go where the money is. So, in this case most media people, especially mainstream ones very rarely call call out dubious calls that always ManCity's way while similar calls never go to the other teams. I've seen only Golbridge of the United Stand that consistently tries to point this out.
The Cup competitions always distract Arteta
As an Aussie I watched Gillet in the A League and he was a terrible ref in our league which is probably equivalent to your national league. He was never going to excel in the prem.
Tom, play me at EAFC?
I work with Stuart attwells brother and known him years there whole family are all massive Luton fans n season tickets holders, I belived in VAR untill last weekend wen corruption game into the game when he didn't award any of the 3 penalties. So I don't trust Gillett now no way!
How have cfc got away with psr? Put hotels in cfc's name then sold them to go as profit and beat cfc?! If so city will just do the same and get away with it? Thoughts…..
if you are depending on other teams to do us a favor? we need to take care of our business first
Morning Tom!
To quote Yogi Berra, that perceptive American baseball player, “It ain’t over till it’s over.”
Have a great Friday and weekend Tom!
We believe!
Hi Tom, I really enjoy your shows and your level headed opinions aswell as news topic. However, I do have a request regarding the preview shows. Is there any chance of changing format? Eg. no Arsenal fans and more focus on the opponents. Maybe an "expert" from the opponents sometimes, but mainly research on recent form, history between clubs, injuries, last games etc.
I never watch because personally it's not very interesting to listen to the opinions of average Arsenal fans, but there are room for that in the phone in shows imo (which I don't watch either). Maybe others also have highlighted this or maybe I am the first, however, I thought I'd throw in my two cents. Hope you are open to suggestions even if it doesn't happen anytime soon. Have a great weekend!
To be fair… The predictertron did factor in this title issue in. Hence City was always big favorites on all of its computing
You have no soul
