The Manchester United is alive in the Premier League. With a great performance from Bruno Fernandes, the Red Devils defeated Sheffield 4-2, coming from behind, and remain in contention for a spot in the upcoming European competitions.
The Portuguese midfielder was the standout player in Wednesday’s game, April 24th, scoring two goals and providing an assist for Höjlund. Additionally, defender Maguire headed in a goal at Old Trafford. On the other hand, Bogle had opened the scoring with a mistake from goalkeeper Onana, while Brereton Díaz scored the second for the visiting team in a postponed match from the 29th round of the English Championship.
At the same time, Manchester United benefited from Everton’s victory over Newcastle, also on Wednesday, and surpassed the opponent in the league table. Thus, the Red Devils are in sixth position, with 53 points, seven behind Tottenham in fifth, a position that guarantees a spot in the group stage of the next Europa League edition.
