its better to get a 29 year old that would give you proper quality 4 years than getting a 23 year old experiment you will look to sell after a season or 2 after flopping

Good player but not worth pay 50/60 million for a 29 year old. Former it can only be either Skriniar or Dias. Both beasts and nowhere near their prime yet.

I would still prefer to go for Upamecano, with Stones and Garcia as 3rd and 4th choice. Ferna to rotate between CB and second choice Dm. All good points in the video, I wouldn't be angry or disappointed if Koulibaly was the answer to the long standing CB question.

I wouldn’t advise spending all that money on him. Look he’s great yea but his release clause is insane. Plus he didn’t do so well this yea and he lacks discipline. Mandem the lad is 29 years old. We’re two years to late. I rather we get Milan Skriniar and Joe Rodon.

While I agree with the club culture of signing young players Koulibaly is at an age where we can get a few good years out without blocking the development of our young defenders THB and Eric Garcia 👍🏼

Either him or Milan Skriniar along with another left footed center back and we could have some sort of title challenge.
If sane and David Silva both leave in the summer we need some sort of reinforcement in the left flank as well because I don’t see Foden and Bernardo carrying us for the whole season.
He's an excellent centre back but honestly I think it's a bad investment for the future
He's had a very poor season in Serie A this season. Hopefully he'd return to form if he signed for us though.

People keep talking about his age are forgetting the fact that Sergio Ramos played a massive part in Real's 3 champions leagues in a row despite him being in his 30s

Yes players like Maldini and Nesta played for a long time and even won the UCL in their late 30s but there is a significant difference between today's game and the game during maldini nesta era and that is pace , in modern football one of the main attribute is pace almost every team has front three with immense sprint speeds and agility and im not sure if koukibaly can handle that when he turns 32-33 years old
Imagine. Sell walker mendy and Angeleno and play cancelo and buy chilwell. Then we get yan couto breaking in when cancelo gets older. Laporte koulibally, cancelo and chilwell would be a dream of a defence
Loads of GKs in the past have looked good when they were constantly worked. De Gea is abit like that. He's probably better than most of those GKs but not at the level you need to be for a top top team. He's kind of a Lloris or Shay Given.
Also, even when he was praised he'd still let in far too many from high balls into his 6 yard box.
