By courtesy of chance being drawn against Middlesbrough in the FA Cup has allowed Emery to develop an interest in Morgan Rodgers, and what a bit of scouting genius by Emery and Co. I think everyone is surprised how quickly Rodgers is rapidly has adapted from Championship level exposure to a player capable of challenging in the upper tier of the Premier League, and hopefully beyond. I tend to read players body language amongst the squad and player reactions to read match and squad mood and you can see that he is really relishing the opportunity he has been given, the reactions following the penalty shootout in Lille and that group huddle on the floor after the Bailey goal with Watkins, Bailey and Rodgers really reflect how much that team is gelling – as Martinez said 'this team is special'.
This was such an important victory for the Villa. We are now in a great position to take 4th. I enjoyed your match summary. UTV from Prague!
