With the right signings Liverpool can compete this year. In regards to eddie's question. Liverpool were the 4th highest goalscorers of the league last season! Not bad for only one recognized striker for half the season!! If the right money is spent to buy established players like Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Christian Eriksen or Dries Mertens. Because at the moment our 3 signings have been funded by selling Andy Carroll. Owners need to invest.
Nice to know you have respect for Sunderland. Yes Liverpool are a big club but lableing Sunderland as "small" is incorrect! We are the 10th biggest club in English footballing history. Still the respect from Liverpool is to be expected! Belittling basically every club!
Sunderland are a better than decent club but Liverpool have a higher profile. With the World Cup approaching and Mignolet slipping down to second choice 'keeper in a tasty looking Belgium squad he probably wants a more visible platform to showcase his talents.
Welcome to Liverpool Simon!!!!! 🙂 hope Sunderland find another great keeper and hope they be in top ten next season!! 🙂 and for my club Liverpool i would love um to get top four will be a dream come true cause i miss champions league and this man can help!! 🙂
30 clean sheets in 90 matches in Premier League! That's impressive. Can't wait to see his skills in a shirt with Liverbird on his chest. Welcome to Liverpool Simon. YNWA
You judge a CLUB on trophies so I don't see why you're talking about the finals you got to. You base a TEAM on where they finish in the league and right now, there are 6 teams better than Liverpool.
As a lifelong SAFC fan, I would say that not only are Liverpool a huge club, they're one of the biggest clubs in the world. History is everything in football, and Liverpool have it in bucketfulls. Sunderland…once named 'The Team of all Talents', and the 'Bank of England' club, are…imo…a huge club as well…the proverbial sleeping giant. Here's hoping PDC can kick this giants arse into gear!
You know, i like it, every single year, every single year since hillsborough, everyone has been begging for our fall. Every year the same thing, hasnt changed since i was a kid. There were bad seasons , there were good seasons. There was triumph and tragedy, and we still stand. Where leeds have failed and died, WE STOOD. We are still here, we will still be here. we wont go quietly, we refuse to accept extinction. Because we wont walk alone.
looking back at this vid now at the comments by Jmcgraghan and Jake Edwards, we have shown you who is the "big" club, i have had no qualms with sunderland before this, but you guys have made my case, no one wants to see us win but us. None of the neutrals want us to win this league, and i always need to be reminded of that so we remember not to get carried away even when we are 1st place right now

Wouldnt say they are small, just not huge.
No, its a massive step up, Liverpool compete for fourth, whilst you will compete for a place in the same league as us

Cheers for everything Simon. Liverpool have got themselves a fantastic 'keeper.
"He's our keeper, our Belgian keeper, it's Simon Mignolet…"
Fair to say we would have been relegated this season if we didnt have him.
nice i will drop a fiver to you when i win lol
