Maguire has always been the aerial attacking target and given chancesfor Utd, which he has failed to return time again. Just like his progressive passes that is stat padded to Shaw that takes 3 seconds and steps too long to make the pass, his positive attitudes are overrated.

i am not a maguire apologist, but the reality is that he gained his reputation as useless playing for a manchester united side where 5 to 6 of their players take a tea break when the opposition has the ball. the united back 4 were constantly being overrun on transitions. maguire became the scapegoat for a terribly managed and coached club.
