Diogo Dalot has transformed himself into an indispensable player for Manchester United under Erik ten Hag and in this video Sam explains exactly how that has happened.

He has matured, his loan spell at AC Milan was an important step in his transformation as was the arrival of Ralf Rangnick but Ten Hag has unlocked something more in Dalot and it goes to show how important it is for the players to have a coach they truly believe in.

Keep it up Diogo 👊

  1. He has matured, his loan spell at AC Milan was an important step in his transformation as was the arrival of Ralf Rangnick but Ten Hag has unlocked something more in Dalot and it goes to show how important it is for the players to have a coach they truly believe in. Keep it up Diogo 👊

  2. He's always had the talent. He now turns in 8/10 performances. You mention Mctominay. He's average now, where he was total garbage before. Casemiro will consign him to the bench. We need more than he offers.

  3. He's always been a humble guy. He bought a mini bus for his youth team Fintas because they weren't compensated by Porto when he signed for them. To me that speaks of a thoroughly decent human being. He is still young – only 23 – so hopefully this is just the start of things to come.

  4. Dalot's improved play shows that Ten Hag is a good Coach. See how Tominay has improved. I totally disliked Tominay's game in midfield but Ten Hag seems to have had a positive impact on him. Dalot scoring two goals for Portugal shows his confidence is high. I noticed that his attitude and mentally has improved immensely. Well-done to Dalot. He should work harder to keep his performances up.👍🏽

  5. I didn't really have a good or bad opinion on Dalot, I just thought we needed a new right back. However he has been superb this season. I love it when I'm proved wrong with our players

  6. Erik ten Hag will pull this job off in my opinion, it will take time for United to get to the level of football that City is playing, But this is the manager to do it.

He will go down as one of the greatest managers of all time when he pulls this off.

  7. It's a measure of how bad we'd become, that we are now praising players to the skies for doing little more than you would reasonably expect from them😃Defenders defending, midfielders running the midfield, full backs overlapping when possible!!! We'll leave the strikers out before getting too excited? Fair play to Eric, for getting the wasters out, and playing people who want it, with confidence!!! Long may this positivity continue 👏👏👏

  8. He didn't literely transform, he just had about a normal progression. The only difference is that we got him very very young and people slated him because of that. They thought that a player is finished at 20 years of age. In his case we saw a natural progression of a young player with its top and down.

  9. Those word of Diogo "We could be the players that bring United back to the top" that's awesome and his performances now is good for club and with his recent showing for National team gives me hope for the future.

  10. Dalot came in as a 19 year old kid, he was injured during his first season. Ole never fave the kid a chance buy instead wasted 50 million on a former winger who spends 80 percent of the game sliding on his ass, unto of that he couldn't cross a ball to save his life.

  11. Can’t say I agree Sam. Dalot has been over rated for a long time. A few good games and everyone’s getting over excited. I think we’ll see his true colours over the coming months and I predict he could be out by January.

  12. Dalot just needed/needs to play. The main thing I like about him is that even last year his effort was high. He makes defensive mistakes here and there but standing still and not trying are never one of those mistakes.

  13. There are more players than Dalot that have improved as of late. Lets talk about how Fred went from a player that passed to the left EVERY single time he got the ball to one that scores or at least tries to in one season….thats just one example.

  14. Privilege to play for the famous Manchester United once-in-a-lifetime treble winners and in footsteps of players like Roger Byrne, Duncan Edwards, Nobby Stiles, Harry Gregg, Bill Foulkes, Denis Violett, Paddy Crerand, Alex Stepney, Best, Law, Charlton, Greenhoff, Buchan, Gordon Hill, Coppull, Pearson, Macari, McIlroy, Gary Bailey, Stapleton, Whiteside, Strachan, McClaire, Kanchelskis, Hughes, Irwin, Ince, Bruce, Pallister, Schmeichel, Robson, Cantona, Keane, Carrick, Butt, Edwin vSar, Evra, Vidic, Stam, Ferdinand, Neville's, Raphael's, Ji-Sung-Park, Valencia, Beckham, Giggs, Scholes, Javier Hernandez, vNistelrooy, Yorke, Cole, Sheringham and-Solskjaer-has-won-it, vPersie, Rooney, Ronaldo, DeGea.

  15. Dalot is like a new signing at RB he has improved that much. ETH has shown he can make bang average players seem better. Anybody else see some fergie traits there. I’m not saying Dalot is average but there is others in the team who are and performing above there station currently such as McTominay
