Chelsea’s head-turning summer of spending continues with the arrival of a new goalkeeper to compete with Kepa Arrizabalaga for the starting spot between the sticks. ESPN FC’s Frank Leboeuf and Steve Nicol are both adamant Mendy has to start in Chelsea’s next game at West Brom, as the Blues need to move on as soon as possible from Kepa’s calamitous start to the season.

  1. This arguably the best fixture for Mendy to make his debut. A newly promoted side against a team that just slotted 6 against a team that is competing in the same league as West Brom were last season

  2. big moves from chelsea.. they are smarter .. muccch better with all these signing.. not only sign expensive player but this player can play together for 10 years.. mendy is not young but GK can play untill 39-40

  3. I think Lamps has made it clear over and over again. You don't perform you don't play, you don't show it in training you don't play. Its not about being a good agent or being a first eleven player you will play all the time. Franks got new talents and he needs to build a team that is for the future.

  4. Zouma has grown so much, he's vocal and organizes, he far less reckless and hot headed than he used to be, and i hope he is taking very good notes from Thiago Silva. He deserves to be the next captain when Azpi eventually leaves

  5. Kepa has been the most overpaid and overrated keeper in the world from the very first moment that he signed for Chelsea. They should've sold him last year, or at least loaned him out like Liverpool did with Karius after he cost them the Champions League title.

  6. The whole thing about "learning the language" is ridiculous. There are so many French speakers at Chelsea. And how many days do you need to learn to say "Away!", "Push Up!", "Back!", and "Man On!" 🤦🏻‍♀️
