  1. Alot of serious football fans don't know how to properly 'blame' conceded goals. They may see Dier being the last beat and just blame him 100%. They must factor in possessions lost cheaply, players vacating areas, poor coaching decisions, crosses unchallenged, and goalkeeper decisions. That said, Dier is just too slow to work in Ange's system which requires very fast CBs, a sweeper keeper and a very busy #6.

  2. Well said ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Œnailed it. Dier was a great servant. And I HATE when out fans turn on out players ๐Ÿ˜’ ๐Ÿ˜‘ COYS ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ‘

  3. I'm not the biggest Dier fan but I wish him all the best at Bayern. It was great seeing them knock Arsenal out last night ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  4. Eric Dier was a very good player for us for a good few years, towards the end he made a few errors and had a few bad matches along with many other Spurs players, he was never going to be a good fit for Angeball, his time was up and I wish him well. I hope he laughs at our lunaticc keyboard warriors all the way to the CL final. You don't get 49 England caps and ten seasons at a club like ours if you're crap or even just average. The malcontents are welcome to type their ill informed opinions from the infinite monkey cage, theyre always good for a laugh. Good piece Barnaby.

  5. Great episode Barnaby. What an amazing season Eric Dier has had. Unwanted by Ange and some fans at the start, barely making a spot on our bench. Now MOM in a CL quarter final and a regular starter in the BM team. The guy has shown resilience. Letโ€™s hope he and Harry get to lift the CL trophy. COYSX!

  6. If you seriously think that Eric Dier is a top centreback then I seriously worry about you, no matter who the coach is or owner is that man had so long at to prove that he was a good enough defender for the top level of premiership football but he consistently failed, doesn't matter who is playing alongside him on every occasion he was up against a striker he would freeze and put his hands behind his back and let the opponent pick his spot to score , a player who was totally unable to know when to push up with his fellow defenders he again failed and was always caught out as the deepest defender and as far as I know he wasn't played as a sweeper so mate you are totally wrong, De Ligt has not been in Bayerns first team all season and has only just been bought into the side

  7. In the right system, dier is absolutely class. Most cbs aren't built for anges high line and I'm so glad he's worked out at bayern. One of my all time favourite defenders hope him and harry win it at bayern.

  8. Aston Villa hasn't been in the Champions League. However, they have won the European Cup the precursor to the Champions League.

I'm pleased that Eric's getting credit. He strikes me as a player who sticks to the plan…when you have players who don't follow instructions well, he looks bad.

    COYS!

  9. One of the worst defenders I have seen play for Spurs… Keystone Cops terrible, especially beside blokes like Emerson & Sanchez. He should have moved on two years ago! Barnaby, Dier is too slow for the Prem! You know it, we all know it. And he is too quick sticking his arms behind his back.

Gareth Southgate also likes Harry Maguire!
