On this week’s 10, we’re looking around Europe’s top leagues to find the best performers outside the Premier League, and identify this campaign’s emerging stars.
In France, we, of course, find Kylian Mbappe, who has recovered from disappointment in the Champions League to grab 5 goal involvements in just 3 games to date. The Frenchman will be keen to excel this year, with Real Madrid potentially courting him next summer, but Ligue 1 has also seen more surprising performances, including from ex-Chelsea forward Gael Kakuta and 21-year-old Ibrahima Niane, who came through the same academy as Sadio Mane and looks like a star in the making.
From Italy, there’s the AC Milan right-back keeping Man United’s Diogo Dalot out of the side, while we also have Borussia Dortmund’s 17-year-old wonderkid Giovanni Reyna on our list, and ex-Leicester striker Andrej Kramaric, who has already torn apart Bayern Munich this season.
Meanwhile, from Spain, there’s the new Busquets, Mikel Merino, and Ansu Fati, who is currently outshining Leo Messi and Antoine Griezmann for Barcelona at just 17.
